<b>19. Pierce Brosnan - The World Is Not Enough</b></i>
I do have to say, after recently rewatching this one, I really do enjoy his performance in this.... the script might have been pretentious at times - but I feel he really tried to show more emotional depth, and a slightly edgier side - especially during the scene when first confront Renard in the bunker, and also the way he coldly dispatches of Elektra (infront of M no less) and cooly says "I never miss" .... i thought his action afterwards towards her corpse were a bit bizarre.... considering she was about to kill him, was never "brainwashed" - and that she in fact was the manipulator, not Renard - and yet, Bond still shows a brief glimpse of sorrow or sadness towards her?... umm - should've put one more round in her, just to be safe - the ol' double tap..... but other than that, I thought this was his best performance outside of Goldeneye.
No contest.

Oh... Rosamund PikeFOR BEING A GOOD ACTOR
Edit: I would also second DarthDimi's mention of Peter Lamont. The sets if anything do have character in this one and do standout, unlike a great number of Bond films up to this point.

<b>DAD: Pierce Brosnan</b>
As Connery before him in TB and Moore in MR, Brosnan gave his best Bond performance in his 4th turn at the role.
The credits.
I'm thinking hard
One thing that stands out is the pre credits bit before Ms Ciccone opens her mouth and makes an absolute mess of it. Any Bond teaser after what they put together in The World Is Not Enough was going to be a tall order for anyone but it was a very fun bit and kept my interest
I really can't think of anything else
I'll add Toby Stephens as I remember he did OK, and he is a fine stage performer and actor

there was excellent set design on this film (as hokey as it sometimes was).. everything from the gene therapy clinic to the ice palace - it had a old school retro, larger than life feel........ too bad they flushed the script down the toilet.
