Dragonpol, time to confess. I was the clown hired on your birthday parties as a kid.

On your 4th Birthday, remember me?

Oh, I kind of always suspected it was you, @Thunderfinger. I suppose that I just didn't want to admit it to myself!

This phase of evil clowns appearing in the streets at night last year did give me goosebumps.and as it was mentioned earlier on here,i wonder if 'IT' being released will bring them out again around Halloween:

Sadly I think it's a given, Barry. You know how little encouragement these morons need to get up to some mischief.

Maybe the filmmakers will even be sued by someone! Stranger things have happened...

Indeed,as usual it will probably not be the criminal (the clowns in this instance) who will suffer, but an innocent party somewhere.

It's the way it works in the world now.

    Crime DOES pay.

The more feeble human minds are susceptible to slavishly following trends, so I.T. could indeed have that effect. For the sake of originality, why can't these night-lurking miscreants pick a new "monster" to be each year? A zombie one year, the grim reaper the other...you know, keep the populace on their toes?

Yes, better safe than sorry. 'Trick or treat' as it were. That last one featured in NSF of course, my biography in a way!

I don't want to speak too soon or anything, but this year seems to have been a lot quieter on the old clown front than last year was. Perhaps it's a welcome sign that the clown craze is dying out. It's odd, too, considering some of the releases in the cinema and on TV this year!

Sounds relatively harmless, anyway. I know some clowns in politics that scare me a lot more.

Yes, this one seems pretty innocuous. I know a lot of politicians start off their careers in the circus. I myself worked in the circus for 9 years. They kept me on as I was the only one who could get the tent in the bag. ;)
