I never had any plot problems with CR...or QOS. Both are fun to watch, don't take themselves too seriously and any plot holes are not that much in the forefront. In fact I never had any problems with any of the films in that regard until SF came along.
Thank you.
I'll have to agree with that. LTK marked the first time, really since Connery in DR NO where we got to see Bond banged up quite a bit. Dalton really sells the moment.
I have to say I think his build helps when comparing to Craig in CR. Certainly Craig is just as banged up at the airport as Tim is here, but Tim's athletic jogger's physique was probably more in line with Fleming's Bond as opposed to the weight-lifting Craig. Craig, especially when busting thru that wall like The Hulk looks a bit indestructible. Dalton looks a bit more human.
;)
Thank you. You described it perfectly where I couldn't. It's Craig superhuman status that hinders him from being totally believable, maybe the said stairway scene is the sole exception.
That fight in TMWTGG is like the fights Roger had on The Saint. He hair is all over the place on The Saint in those sequences. His punches have more force and he gets knocked around a bit. In one episode he's tied up and burns his hands with a cigarette lighter trying to escape. A Fleming type situation indeed.
these were most realistic moments for Bond
A problem I have with Moore is he never gets dirty, never a hair out of place, he just straightens his tie knot and gives the camera that "tongue in cheek" eyebrow raise...and And like Brosnan, he always seemed "shaken but not stirred."
