Awesome. Looks more in line with the N64 version which can't be a bad thing.

Indeed. The N64 version is superior, anyway.

That does look rather similar to TWINE N64. TWINE N64 was a good game. The gameplay was nowhere near on the level of GoldenEye N64—had they been identical, TWINE N64 truly would have rocked—and I was never able to navigate the submarine without drowning, but it was a good inventive game nonetheless.

Does anyone know why the gameplay of TWINE was so drastically different from GoldenEye? Couldn't they reproduce the same experience but with different maps and weapons?

Not really. Considering the engines were different, and the N64 capacity not taking it all into storage, they went ahead with their own incentive. The GE-64 version was something that belongs to Rare, and since licensing would've taken a great deal of time, they resorted to creating their own. Eurocom enhanced every ability within the source code to look as realistic and glamorous on N-64 as it could, and TWINE was released as a "great sendoff for N64".

The gameplay however was later recreated for the console version of NF. TWINE 64 seems like it's a beta version of NF on Console.

I see. So Rare was the missing factor with TWINE. That’s a real shame Rare didn’t get TWINE too. (And TND for that matter!) I salivate over the thought of both of those films being done true justice for N64 as GoldenEye was.

They were offered to work on TND. But, they immediately turned it down to develop their own project instead. The project that later became Perfect Dark.

Shame I would of loved to see Rare do Tomorrow never dies of course who knows they could of been the bond power house but only base it off the films meaning we never would of gotten such amazing games as Agent Under fire night fire everything or nothing and bloodstone but we would of had games for Die Another Day Skyfall and spectre and Casino Royale and Quantum would of been 2 games rather then one so mixed bag I suppose

After a couple of tries, Electronic Arts got Bond right.

Ok I will post my review of the PS1 the world is not enough here as I finally beat it

A lot of people hate this and say the N64 one is superior and yes and no...

Honestly I feel there is a lot about this game that works far better then it should I love courier Russian roulette night watch and flashpoint though the rest of the levels I prefer the n64 version or they are about equal. The last two levels were beyond hard for me Fallen angel was so annoying I was tempted to give up but nope the game is fun and definitely something I might return to far better then the 007 slot games I played this year.
  • I would love to play TWINE on Ps1, it's the only console Bond I haven't played. I wonder if I can dig up a copy somewhere.

I am halfway through Tomorrow never dies I will be honest both of Ea’s early games feel like they were trying different things and if there was better mechanics it would of been better

(Skiing for Tomorrow never dies and Card game for the world is not enough)

They needed refinement. They were stepping stones to better things that would have worked amazingly if just giveb a little more time.

Everything or Nothing really feels like a much more refined TND. It was actually pretty bold of EA to go back to TND for inspiration considering what a failure the game was as far as critical reception is concerned. I played EON first, so going back to TND felt like playing a very early prototype.

What we saw of the TND game on PS1 was primarily the work of MGM Interactive until EA stepped in and took over, assigning Black Ops Entertainment to do the cutting, editing (of the mechanics and gameplay), remade the driving level from scratch and left everything else unpolished.

TND the videogame was one of my very first Bond experiences, the game still holds some sort of mythical quality to me. I still put on the soundtrack in my car sometimes.

Again I haven’t beaten it (that dam wai Lin level sucks) but on the pen ultimate level I can say it’s enjoyable to say the least.. Again with no new bond game on the horizons new to me bond games are just as good for now (I don’t plan on playing the Atari games but I might finally try and beat James Bond the duel for sega)
