    Ha! I'd forgotten this.

Think I originally posted after SF title was confirmed.

Having seen the movie 18 months later, I think POAL could have worked.

Still, I like 'Skyfall' as a title now (and the fact that it's meaning adds it to Bond mythos) and the remaining titles are still in the locker.

I do honestly believe that Eon is content in the knowledge that it has actually used all the titles, in its film series. Even if the titles weren't used as actual film titles, all the stories have certainly been methodically covered off, even if just by a passing reference, such as the nod to Solange (007 in New York) in CR and the inclusion of Krest and Wavecrest (The Hildebrand Rarity) in LTK.
And of course the plot lines of both POAL and Risico were well exploited in the OP and FYEO films.
I honestly do believe Eon considers these titles to have been used.
We could very well see more nods to Fleming stories in future films, but I don't think Eon would feel any need to incorporate the likes of THR, POAL, or Risico, as future film titles.
QoS was actually the last Fleming title to get recognition in the film series, which I think is a prime reason that it was selected as title for the 22nd film. It was the only previously non-referenced Fleming title. By using it, a closure on all the titles was achieved.

    You are probably right timmer

However, I don't think anything is off limits. If the mood is right, one of these titles may come into fashion. I certainly didn't expect QoS.

There's still elements of the novels to plunder. Skyfall certainly plucked elements of the Golden Gun novel for example. Obviously, those elements diminish over time but EON still seem keen on going back to the source for inspiration, if not outright material - which is a good thing.

The only other one that comes to mind is the chapter title (and believe me, I've trawled the chapter titles!) ..'A Whisper of Love, A Whisper of Hate' from Casino which has got something (certainly a song lyric)

Still, one of the things I love about Bond movies is they all have original titles. All the marketing bods have to do is let you know it's the new 007 film. That done, they can be as experimental as they like (see QoS!). All I ask is the titles retain a Fleming flavour.

I think Quantum Of Solace is a good title if I have a son he's going to be called Quantum!

LaQuantum Hull sounds like a good name for an NBA point guard.

Yes, I think this is the approach that we will see, and sure there was a little nod to Golden Gun with the killing of Severine. Hopefully, we will see continued attempts to reference Fleming.
And sure down the road, we might even seen films re-made. I think Bond will outlive us all.
Sherlock Holmes is going strong more than 100 years after its creation. Holmes movies go back to the 1930's.
