A month ago I had preordered the upcoming Featuring The Baron, featuring two restored movies from two-part stories of The Baron TV series. I was looking forward to seeing these restored TV movies from Network, but this evening I got an email saying my payment had been refunded. Looking up Network, it looks like they are reportedly going into liquidation – which obviously is a big blow for anyone interested in 60's British television (and more).
One would assume that past Network titles will eventually be hard to get, so I had to make sure to get my hands on one of several titles I would like to have in my collection.
Now, all that remains is to find and buy the last five mising non-musical movies that are missing from my collection. But I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer for that, given that my next vacations are coming soon, and they will not be cheap.
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) € 4,99 (NEW)
The Hate U Give (2018) € 4,99 (NEW)
Bought yesterday in Paris :
Yes, Fred Astaire played in a French movie. One down, four to go.

Cool. Love that beginning with the Queen Princes of the Universe song, and of course, Connery's narration.
Brilliant soundtrack, the 4K restoration is good better than the Bluray I have though still full of deep grain in some scenes. I am a big Queen fan, A Kind of Magic which has the Highlanderr tracks on is good, Princes of the Universe is one of there best.

Happy shopping everyone!
Two great movies I have them both on Bluray.
I concur! One of his best! Great story and characters, and the climax is thrilling!
The Wild Geese
Who Dares wins
Remo
Donnie Darko
Lifeforce
Invasion of the Body snatchers
To Live and die in L.A.
The Andromeda strain
Sisters
The Killers
Great list of films!
Which 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' is it?
I take it, like myself, you purchased 'Lifeforce' for the spectacular delights of Mathilda May, and not the dodgy Sci-fi horror? 😜
lol Lifeforce does have many plus points though honestly I think its a great film, its an absolutely crazy movie. On Arrow its the 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers that I have though i have the original also on DVD both great films, I did not like the later remakes though i should give the DC version another go i have that on DVD also.
Yeh I agree with you, both of the original movies are terrific, Donald Sutherlands final scene still freaks me out!!

The Critereon edition of HIGH SIERRA is amazing.
I'm also kind of hoping 4K is the final physical format for movies, as one of the main reasons I've held on to and mostly only bought DVDs before is that there are always new upgrades. I also upgraded my Samurai Jack (one of my all-time favorite shows) to Blu-Ray:
Time to start saving again!!!
