Yis afternoon, I bought this :
This time, the documentary series concentrates on the two landings that started the liberation of France.
Sleepy Hollow (2013) - Season 1 (4 slimcases set)
Sleepy Hollow (2013) - Season 2 (5 slimcases set)
Sleepy Hollow (2013) - Season 3 (5 slimcase set)
Sleepy Hollow (2013) - Season 4 (4 Disc Keepcase)
9 June:
Breathless (1983)
Today:
In Time (2011) - 2 Disc (BD/DVD) with Limited Edition slipcover. € 2,00
I already own this in a different form though no idea where it is, this is much better looking set than the one lost in storage.
I went all out last year and purchased five titles.
This year, however, my "list" this year is a bit short. For one, I recently subscribed to the Criterion channel and there are actually some bonus features there that are not on the disks. Secondly some of the titles that I want (Le Samouraï, for example) have only been upgraded via the 4K format. Maybe, I finally get the bluray of McCabe & Mrs. Miller.
Nice! I have yet to see Le Samourai and McCabe & Mrs. Miller, but they’re certainly on my list. I treated myself to the 4K releases of To Die For, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Blue Velvet, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas today. Definitely getting Risky Business later in the month, maybe also The Piano and The Trial.
Fair enough, I think it’s interesting how even rewatchability is subjective. A big one that comes to mind is the fact I watch Schindler’s List like every other year or so, and everyone else I know says it’s a one and done for them, which I respect and understand.
Oh, I agree regarding 'Schindlers List', have that and it's a very powerful watch, and continues to be. Exceptionally well made movie!
Don't Say A Word (2001) with also Sean Bean & Famke Janssen (Goldeneye) € 5,00.
Sherlock Season 4 (2016) - 2 disc with slipcover. With also Art Malik (The Living Daylights) € 4,00
Today:
Racing Stripes (2005)
BD491: Don't Worry Darling (2022) € 6,67 / 3 for 20,00 (New)
BD492: Barbie (2023) € 6,67 / 3 for 20,00 (New)
BD493: Just Mercy (2019) € 6,67 / 3 for 20,00 (New)
Funny enough also the 3th movie fals under a POP theme: Just Mercy is about a counsel/Lawyer (Talking pop for somebody ele's) Don't Worry Darling include pop singer (and for another reasen too that i think trailer give a way), Barbie is a Pop (Dutch for Doll).
Soundtrack CD Antonio Pinto - Love In The Time Of Cholera (2007) € 3,00
Today:
Night On Earth (1991) - Quality Film Collection Edition
As for me, I bought this :
I'd rather bought Godzilla Minus One, but until I can, it'll do.

A cash grab or an essential for film lovers? Opinions differ.
@Gerard: here in the US the 4K+bluray Godzilla Minus One steel book has completely sold out from Target and Amazon, so I'm left with buying the standard 2 disk Blu-ray set. Note, hat these are all preorders with an expected September 2024 release.
OMG, I don't have this. Thanks- I just ordered it.
I think it's just as good as 'Charade'. Always enjoy Gregory Peck, and Loren is gorgeous! Great set pieces, the ending is really exciting!
Henry Mancini does another great score!
I have never watched Arabesque all the way through which is a crime as I love Charade, I was hoping to watch Arabesque tonight though I can't remember where I put it, one disadvantage of having hundreds and hundreds of DVDs and Blurays.
I just watched Arabesque, and while it had its moments, it was not nearly as GREAT as Charade. It suffered from that mid-sixties need to be light & funny with Batman-like jokes/puns amongst the killings and distress. Very not bad, but very not great, either.
Charade had a good balance, there are darker moments when we think our heroes are in genuine peril.
because I have the first four.
for nostalgia's sake.
Gosh, I haven't seen 'Condorman' in ages! I do remember the lovely Barbara Carrera in it, and Frank Spencer with a dodgy American accent, and even Ollie Reed is in there!
---
A good selection of movies there so worth it, I have not bought much 4K recently after buying all of the Trek movies in 4K, thought I would take a mini 4K purchase break barring a couple of films lol
I will definitely be buying T1 at some point.
It's on my list to upgrade from my dvd .
Still my favourite poster of Clints movies!
Just finished watching High Plains Drifter, I was totally blown away I don't think I have seen this film since my teenage years.
High Plains Drifter is a masterpiece, it is arguably Clint's darkest films on the surface, the social commentary, symbolism and subtext kept me in a conflicted state for most of the movie and then you remind yourself as a viewer they are in hell.
I like the fact that Clint's spurs sound just as prominent as they are in Pale Rider...
The pale horse is a major visual connection between the films (the fourth horseman).
The film looks great in HD.
