    Last weak i did extra check again on my moost movies with list (include tv series too) and notice that Bernard Lee is even with Lois Maxwell. I vergot to at his credit in Persuaders and Champions episode. His total is not 12 but 14.

    If actor/actress play in 2 episodes from first season and playing same chacter then i wil count this as one, but if 2 episodes in two seasons or playing another chacter then i count them as two. So Roger Moore get 2 credits for Saint Season 1&2 but wil not get extra credit when second part of Persuaders wil end in my collection.

    Pierce Brosnan; 16 (11 None Bond + mini serie)
    Robbie Coltrane: 15
    Lois Maxwell: 14
    Bernard Lee: 14 (1 none Bond + 2 tv series)
    Daniel Craig: 13 (12 None Bond only + mini serie)
    Michael G Wilson: 12
    Sean Connery: 12
    Roger Moore: 10 (1 none Bond + 2 tv series)
    Ralph Fienes: 10 (None Bond only)
    Judi Dench: 8 (Brosnan era only)

    Desmond shared 4th and 5th place at the moment with Angelina Jolie followed by Brosnan at 6th/7th place with Jude Law, Robbie Coltrane 8th place and 9th/10th place is for Loismaxwell and Bernard Lee (and couple of other none Bond actors/actres). Top 3 is for Matt Damon (26), Morgan Freeman (19) and George Clooney (18).

    I don't mind it on moment to have Ralph Fienes for chacter as M, but for only one or two time performance there should look to lower number or new actor or actres. In case composers there should ignore Hans Zimmer. I am stil bissy with making composers list and so far he is compose moost music from my collection. Almoost double count of movies as Alan Silvestri. Zimmer 31 and Alan Silvestri 16. Even Thomas Newman 11 already and that's without Skyfall/Spectre and very close to John Barry (12 Bond only). David Arnold 8 include Bond.

    I'm among those who initially thought the "Nambutu" embassy guy in CR, when cornering Bond after his shooting spree, told him "Listen to me!" - when instead it was "Laissez tomber!" (Drop it!)

    I didn't know that either. Very interesting. It works either way but "drop it" certainly makes more sense.

    Well, it's not exactly a new discussion. If you google "casino royale laissez tomber listen to me" you'll find a lot of hits from as early as 2006 about it.

    Just to make sure, I just checked the scene (at 18:30 minutes) on my Bond 50 collection 2012 Blu-ray. None of the subtitle tracks I checked (English, French, Castilian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian - there is no German track) has subtitles when that embassy security guy speaks - while everything that is spoken in English is subtitled. So that's at least a strong indication it is not meant to be English.

    Besides, for that test I heard those words so often that I am 100 per cent definite it is really "Laissez tomber". Plus during the fighting scene the soldiers and embassy staff also sound like they're speaking French.

    He's definitely right. In Belgium we get both Dutch and French subtitles at the same time in the cinema and I remember that the French subtitle for that sentence was left out.

    Can someone please explain: I've only seen Spectre twice, and as much as I love Daniel Craig, he's a bit of a mumbler. Can you please explain why he decided to nickname a character named Max Denbigh "C"??

    I honestly have no clue!

    I would like to get an answer to that too. I have a hunch but by this point in the film Bond has no reason to call Denbigh a word rhyming with stunt. :p

    Later M ruins the moment by calling him "Careless".

    I'll admit to not knowing that Lazenby was dubbed (~20mins of OHMSS) until someone actually told me. I saw that his mouth sometimes didn't match the lines perfectly but many people in the film also had that, so I thought it was a sound-recording issue. I think he could of pulled off the accent rather well.

    Speaking of accents; I also found it hard to believe that Kara was actually played by a British actress in TLD. She did a good job in that film.

    @Master_Dahark @BondAficionado I thought it was strange that they decided to include that in the film without an explanation. You have to know some slightly obscure WWII history to get it. The real life head of MI6 during WWII was known simply as "C". That's where "M" came from. Why they decided to apply this to Denbigh, I think is just lousy writing.

    That's actually the best explanation I've heard and makes perfect sense. Bond is making fun of Denbigh as if his new appointment puts him in charge of the Secret Service. Still, as you say, 95% or more of audiences would not have gotten the reference, and it makes no sense that everybody is instantly in on Bond's joke, including M and Blofeld (Tanner somehow knows about it before he first discusses the man with Bond: "So you've met C then..."). Awfully active grapevine Mi6 has.

    I thought calling some one a "C" was a well known joke in the UK ? In the Cinema
    I first watched it, that line got a big laugh.

    Apparently the position still goes by the name "C", not just back in WWII.

    Quoting the article; "Younger, the 16th chief since MI6 was founded in 1909, is known as “C” – like all those who have held the position since the service’s first chief..."

    Considering the name is clearly intended as an insult of some sort, it still strikes me as odd that both M and Blofeld refer to the character as such, matter-of-factly and without a trace of humor.
