My God i hope they are ok......
Here's this to ponder:
It happens everywhere DD,an unstable coward and a gun or a knife.
Cant argue with that..a true comment.
For a level headed young man like you to say that, its a worry.
So nuts have a harder time getting guns??? Are you a Commie? Wait- we love Russians now... so... ummm... are you some kind of Socialist? Wait- Socialists rid guns from the populace... ummm... are you some kind of REASONABLE PERSON??
No we have gun play every weekend. During the week too, although not every day, but weekend gun battles, you can go banco on.
This is well reported.
Shooter lost in the gaming event and killed two of the other players (winners). So sick. There is a video going around with the audio of this (not all, but a lot of the initial shooting). It was broadcast live, showing gaming screen, lower right corner sometimes showing a player. Before the video cuts out, there is a flash of red that some say is from a laser targeting that player. I won't post the video (again only thing shown is the game screen and one player a little on bottom right) but you can easily find it online if you are interested.
From the Miami Herald: (partial, not in full here - the underline is from me, not the paper)
Among the dead was 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore, a defeated contestant in the tournament. Police say he killed himself after opening fire on other competitors. The two other victims are believed to be Taylor Robertson, 27, of Ballard, West Virginia and Eli Clayton, 22, of Woodland Hills, California.
Also online, at least for a while, was a short video clip from a live stream portion of the tournament. It showed Eli Clayton, wearing headphones and a red sweatshirt as he worked the control of his game. What appeared to be a gun’s red laser targeting dot was clearly visible on his chest. Moments later, he would be dead.
****
After a few gunshots, the video disappeared and all that remained was audio. The popular online live -streaming platform, called Twitch, soon deleted the footage but social media users had already captured it and all afternoon long it echoed across Twitter and Facebook.
****
Clayton was a highly successful gamer who didn’t take himself too seriously. “I’m really easy to get along with, I’m not a trouble maker,” he told EA Sports recently. “I’m always laughing and joking around. I’m just me, a cool dude. There’s really nowhere to go but up, honestly.”
Clayton hadn’t originally planned to compete in Jacksonville but — possibly swayed by the $165,000 prize in the tournament finals in October — tweeted just days ago that he had changed his mind.

Robertson, a husband and father, was the winner of last year’s Madden tournament. The winner the previous year: Katz, the man who killed him.
The shooting— which, police said, was carried out with a single handgun — started around 1:30 p.m. and police were on the scene with two minutes. Little was immediately known about Katz other than that he had stayed at a North Florida hotel the night before the shooting. Baltimore police were searching his home Sunday night.
The killings took place in a game room at a Chicago Pizza restaurant inside at the Jacksonville Landing, a half-empty waterfront shopping and dining complex in downtown Jacksonville.
I sure hope this victim named Timmy, in this tweet, pulls through.
First in terms of gun violence related suicide, Donald?
If only there were proper gun laws! Bond would have more important things to do than risking his life every day because of political stupidity! Not worth It!
Spot on Jobo,so true.
Still no public utterances from police regarding motive, although unlike the Danforth lone gunman shootings in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Fredericton shooter does not appear to have been afflicted by any ISIS sympathies.
For some bizarre reason this guy decided to blow away two fellow citizens and the first two cops who arrived on the scene.
Some serious psychosis at play here, or maybe he had a grudge against the victims, OR maybe he wanted to kill cops and took out a couple of civilians to trigger a massive response and gun battle, which is what he got.
Yes, definitely in terms of a lethally licensed Mi6 agent being available to intervene, but I think the point honorable member @gideoneldude was making, was that too bad there wasn't a Bond-like citizen type or law enforcement type who might have been able to intervene in time.
Quite understandable musing from a Bond fan I think, in light of this tragic event.
Being Bond fans, I think most us would have been inclined to step in, armed or otherwise, to do what we could to thwart the shooter.
As it was police got there pretty fast, but not fast enough.
Predictably POS comment from a POS site. PLEASE vote blue to start the wave of change. Even if they suck, they can't suck as bad as these guys.
And just because I like to shock peeps with controversial stuff...
From the 80's they KNEW about climate change, and they SAW the future of rampant Capitalism. They KNEW it would put an expiration date on our ability to thrive as a species on Earth. They PLANNED this takeover all along, and they have always prized winning over everything, even the survival of the Human race. They KNOW no God or Gods, they only want to live as large as they can while they're here, and leave the mess for their kids to manage. The Kubrick movie "Dr. Strangelove" is amazingly predictive of the mentality, if not the actual circumstances of this planet's descent into "interesting times."
