I do so hope that this poor chap wasn't in any way injured during his confrontation with those awful police. CS spray? Was there really a need for that? I'm sure the police could have negotiated with the detainee? Instead they have to go in all heavy handed. Little wonder people such as this chap feel marginalised! I feel his human rights may have been breached!

It is interesting and perhaps concerning that it was left to three unarmed officers to deal with a 4 ft sword outside of Buck Palace. Im not a fan of arming all officers but is it an unfair expectation that there would be armed officers in front of the Palace?

Mmm, I'm not sure that arming police officers would be a good thing? It could be construed as being inflamatory? In the spirit of inclusion I think it may be a better strategy for the police and other agencies to withdraw from the scene altogether, after all it must be frustrating for these poor freedom fighters to keep having their efforts frustrated must it not? As I already mentioned, it is little wonder they feel marginalised in society.

For the sake of social cohesion I think its best we sweep this unfortunate misunderstanding under the carpet. Over reporting on these matters does little but to throw up more questions than it answers. Everything is fine in this particular rose bed. It's only an isolated incident so best that we pretend it never happened.

    Keep calm and carry on!

I went to the Ramblas last Saturday. Just paying my respect for those lives that were lost. I stood still in front of those million candles for 5 mins. I said to them: "Okay guys, I go on with my life again. And I will not go to any manifestation. Because then this all will stay too long in our memories and the terrorists will be even more happy. Thanks for the color you gave to the world guys"

And I went on with my life. Just one tiny post in here and that's bloody well enough. I won't let terrorists keep topics like these alive for that long. That's not what those people who lost their lives would have wanted.

Let's go on with our lives. Act like James Bond a bit. That's what the terrorists hate even more. But such an attitude will keep our western lifestyle alive.

    Regards, Gert

As many of you may know, the Russian consulate in San Francisco, CA was recently ordered closed in a diplomatic tit-for-tat that I need not discuss any further at this moment. What IS happening at this very moment....is a suspicious fire occurring in the fireplace at that embassy, resulting in dark, acrid smoke billowing out of said chimney. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that Agent 007 had just stolen a Lektor decoder...

What, too soon to be joking? An arrest has been made and the lockdown is over, according to my sources. Still, this world is getting to be weirder and weirder. Release the hounds. Or the kraken. Whatever suits your imagination most closely...

By thor they're pushng it far this time. There might be no other solution then go to war with them. Just waiting for them to start is not an option now they've got nucler weapons.
DAD is turning out to be all to real, with the son not of a general, but of the previous leader playing with his 'super weapon'.

    The story :

Several people injured in Tube explosion as police declare it a 'terrorist incident' .

An "explosion" on a packed Tube train left several people injured during the morning rush hour.

Commuters fled in terror after hearing an explosion and feeling a "heatwave" and "shot of flames" move through a carriage on board a District line train.
Panicked witnesses described being “horrified and shaken” after the incident at Parsons Green station at about 8.20am on Friday.

The Met Police have subsequently confirmed a counter-terror investigation has been launched and said "a number of people" were injured.
The ambulance service said it is currently assessing “the level and nature of injuries”. Armed police and 50 firefighters were sent to the station.

One passenger told the Standard she saw a lady who appeared to have been burnt and a man with "a wound on his head".
A photo allegedly from the scene shows what looks like a smouldering bucket on the train floor. It is wrapped in a Lidl bag and appears to have flames coming from it.
Daniel Holden, who was on the train at the time, said: “The train had just opened doors at Parsons Green.

“Then there was a loud bang, heatwave and fire burst. Everybody scrambled forwards and off.

“The stairs at station delayed people getting out. All emergency services here now.”
As we stopped at Parsons Green we saw all the people running in panic. I've been told that a bag exploded at the back of the carriage.”

She added: “Some people got really hurt.”
"I know someone got hurt in the moment of panic and saw a couple of people quite injured, probably they were near the explosion.

"I saw a lady who seemed kind of burnt - just reddish, not properly burnt - and a man with what looked like a wound on his head. Lots of people were in panic."

She added: “The response from the fire brigade, ambulance and police is prompt and quick. Parsons Green has been closed and evacuated.”
Six fire engines, one fire rescue unit and a command unit are at the scene.

Michael Bennett, 38, told the Standard: “I was towards the front of the rear carriage. As the train pulled into the platform there was a huge noise. I wasn’t facing it at the time. I just heard a big noise and saw a shot of flames come past. I could feel it singe the back of my head.

“In all honesty, at that point the door was open and I just ran out onto the platform. At Parsons Green there is just one staircase down. There was a mass of people. I didn’t see any staff on the platform. When I got on the platform it just came to a complete standstill. It was clear that some people had fallen on the stairs in the rush and were being stood on and crushed.
“There was probably five or six minutes when no-one was really moving and everyone was piling off the Tube and nobody was able to get down the stairs. There were quite a few people on the platform in tears and shocked. There were people saying there had been an explosion in a ‘bag for life’.

“I saw a woman in her Sixties with quite long hair being helped on the platform. Her hair had been burned and she was being helped out. There were people still on the front of the train sticking their heads out wondering what had happened.
There was panic, and I would include myself in that. I was thinking ‘secondary explosion’ all the time. There was nowhere to go. I just wanted to get away as quickly as possible.

“It was standing-room only [on the Tube]. I got on at Southfields and normally at Parsons Green it is one off, one on.”

British Transport Police said an incident is ongoing and its officers are currently there. They reiterated the Met's plea to avoid the area as they urged people to remain vigilant to any suspicious behaviour.
The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he is in contact with the emergency services and told people to look out for advice and updates from the Met.

Natasha Wills, assistant director of operations at London Ambulance Service, said: “We were called at 8.20am to reports of an incident at Parsons Green underground station.

“We have sent multiple resources to the scene including single responders in cars, ambulance crews, including response officers and our hazardous area response team, with the first of our medics arriving in under five minutes.
“Our initial priority is to assess the level and nature of injuries. More information will follow when we have it.”

The Met Police urged people to avoid the south west London station
In a statement they said: "Police were called at approximately 8.20am to Parsons Green following reports of an incident on a Tube train.

"Officers attended with BTP along with London Fire and London Ambulance. We would advise people to avoid the area. More info as we get it."

Very lucky, it seems not to have fully gone off. Thankfully most of these scumbags

Maybe you can cover your lost by betting that some apologist will say it's not a terrorist attack. Or simply that someone (Khan, the PM, whoever) will say that this has nothing to do with Islam.

There was a very I retesting investigation on the BBC news channel, " Text for Terror".
Showing how via the dark web, many of these extremists groups "groom" young men
Into planning and executing so called " Lone wolf" attacks.
