I'd say 'most'. It's not just the actual decisions and actions, but the whole tone he sets. As much as I disliked GW, not everything he did and said was terrible. Literally everything about Trump and his Corporate Authoritarian Lapdog Swamp is negative, except for billionaires. His Presidency literally makes our world less safe and less healthy.

Of course you can. A lot of this precedes Trump however, and the Palestinian problem has confounded and frustrated several presidents. It has been intractrable and actually getting worse.

Will Israel under the current leadership give in? No. Can anyone stop their settlement building? No. So the impasse in itself is destabilizing and unsustainable for the Palestinians. Netanyahu is a problem, but there are far more right wingers in that country than him. Obsessed religious types who cannot be negotiated with.

There will be loss of life in the near term (regrettably) but there is a calculus here (it's not just Trump but the Administration who made this choice). They have shaken the tree symbolically, and we will see what comes out of it. It's now blowing in the wind.

Anyone who thought the US was a neutral arbiter in the Israel/Palestinian issue was kidding themselves. The facade is over.

The Trumpeters and the republicans are very fond of freedom of speech... until the point were it doesn´t suit them anymore. They are basically masters of double standards and hypocricy.

But the Democrats are very gifted students... ;)
Seriously, until politicians can no longer look forward to getting rich from taking bribes to represent the wealthy, our system cannot be trusted. Certain individuals within the system can be though, and that's where all our hope lies, presently....

No need to apologize @DarthDimi. I understand why you feel the way you do and the same with other members. Thank you.

I just don't appreciate the shaming and humiliating that goes on here in lieu of proper debate. If people can't act like adults they should leave the party. Just because someone isn't on the 'hate train' doesn't mean they are pro-everything Trump. However, they are inevitably called out as such.

I still think these American political discussions should be limited here going forward. One can see the heat rising already.

Oh, poor @bondjames. You're not the one who got endless walrus photos directed your way. And yet, I don't see you claiming you should have flagged THAT mindless fool.

Trump is, without a doubt, The. Worst. President. Ever. Anyone trying to claim otherwise deserves more scorn than ever got heaped onto P&W.

You don't get it do you? This isn't about me or you. We can take it. I used myself as an example so as not to highlight others who were victims, like yourself.

What I realized when I had the other thread open is that there are a lot of silent users here (who reached out to me in PMs) who don't like the way these political threads inevitably go. They are toxic because people can't get beyond their partisan views. That is an American disease.

We have people conflating Trump with Republicans with guns with religion and everything else under the sun. Each voter is an individual and just because they are a member of a party doesn't mean they agree with everything that the party or the president gets tagged with. The conversation is just insulting and goes nowhere apart from reinforcing existing beliefs and preconceptions. No minds were changed during that nonsense that took place last year into 2017, but a lot of bad blood was created.

You are too kind. I don't regard him as a President (and I did GW), I see him as a con man that sneaked in during the political storm & Russia's FB attack. POSOTUS.

    And, in Yemen news...
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/08/world/europe/tillerson-saudi-arabia-lebanon-yemen.html
“With respect to Saudi Arabia’s engagement with Qatar, how they’re handling the Yemen war that they’re engaged in, the Lebanon situation, we would encourage them to be a bit more measured and a bit more thoughtful in those actions to, I think, fully consider the consequences,” Mr. Tillerson said at a news conference at the French Foreign Ministry in Paris.

President Trump’s obvious affection for the kingdom — it was the first country he visited as president — had long muted any criticism. Mr. Tillerson, for instance, suggested on more than one occasion that he favored Qatar in its dispute with Saudi Arabia, but President Trump overruled him and made clear that he sided with the Saudis."

Has Trump sent any troops into Jerusalem or bombed anyone?

Yes he's a monumental cock but here's a novel idea: why doesn't the Islamic world just shrug it off and ridicule him like the rest of us?

Being laughed at would be far more hurtful to him than burning American flags but I'm afraid as usual you all behave with such tiresome predictability. What other gems have you got up your sleeve I wonder? Probably something original like a suicide bomb or a van into some pedestrians next? Even Arjen 'cut in from the right on his left foot and ping one in the top corner. Every. Single. Time' Robben has got more tricks in his locker than offended Islamists.

To be honest I'm so bored of the Jews and Muslims and their infantile whining about a shitty bit of rock in the desert I think I'd rather watch all 295 episodes of Last Of The Summer Wine back to back than sit through more of this. Either get a room or annihilate each other once and for all, I really don't mind which, but please stop thinking anyone gives the slightest shit about your medieval beliefs.

***Spoiler Alert**** God doesn't exist you retards.

    Just two lovely quotes:
“We watch Fox when we want to get the truth. I’ll go to Fox because there’s just too much political untruths out there.”

“They’re more and more not accountable to public opinion. If you live in a gerrymandered district where your biggest concern is a primary challenger, you’re no longer concerned about what other people think.”

I've said it before and I'll say it again: if facts don't matter anymore (and they sure don't for the Trump administration and supporters) you're headed for war. This han't got to do with the way you want to organise your country anymore, this is about truth.

I'm not fond of our own politicians, but one thing we've got taken care of is that political parties aren't allowed gifts of more then 100.000 euro either in money or 'services' (you know, those supportive campaigns you have from pressure groups). In that way neither party (we have a multi-party system thankfully, so none will ever have full power) can brainwash certain groups.

But the fact that newsmedia are actually themselves becoming political powers is the most concearning. That in itself is a sure sign of an impeding civil war.

Many of the matters that are now at hand sure have a long history, first and foremost the neglect of facts, which of all places comes from the social sciences and their post-modernist acceptance of 'everybody's truth'. There's no everybody's truth, there's only scientific facts (you know, the ones that can be altered through falsification).

But these idiots (post-modernists) thought facts were coloured by the scientist that conducted them (the most racist thing I've ever heard of) and now uneducated-religious-right has taken over the same negligence of facts and comes up with it's own truth. If the centre-right doesn't step in, in a bipartisan action with the centre-left and restore the beliefs in scientific facts, hen you're off to war. Either civil, or with North Korea. But I'm not quite sure the latter conflict will stop you from having a civil one at all.

Yes, that's the big one, isn't it. If only we could pull people out of the Dark Ages and make them understand this very simple, obvious, basic truth.

If you take out California Trump won the popular vote by 1.4 million votes. So you would let one state that is 99% liberal dictate the presidency? Wow.

It amazes me at how people on here are so uneducated! My friend in the NSA said if she had done anything that Hillary had done she would be charged with treason.

People forget the president’s main job is to be in charge of our military!

Hillary Clinton wants to allow parents to select the “X” option on birth certificates to allow babies to decide their own sex... Is this what the world is coming to? Trans babies? Will people be able to identify as animals next?

Clinton also sold uranium to Russia for millions and her husband accepted over a million to give speeches in Russia. She also paid off a Russian detective to get info about Trump during the election, everyone acts like it’s one sided though lol.

Yes. The man says and does some stupid things but at least he takes action. First thing he did in office was organize an FBI task force to stop black on black crime in Chicago the worst crime area in America. Something Obama failed to do in his eight years for his home town.

Anyone who thinks illegals should have any benefits or rights is insane and anyone who thinks druggies on welfare should get half of my hard earned paycheck is equally insane.

Democrats and liberals are losing their minds. Get ready for seven years of making America great again!

Everyone keeps saying “the majority of America voted for Hillary hence the popular vote.” One state does not represent 49 other states. I never said let’s not allow California to vote, I am saying it’s not like it was a landslide.

Trump won the electoral and won the popular vote by a landslide if you look at 49 other states compared to one. Unfortunately the fact that we had to choose between Hillary and Trump is bad enough. She called black people super predators. I mean it’s just bad.

There should be term limits on senators and congressman. One term and you're out. You can come back after a four year gap. That will go some way to breaking the corruption cycle. No spouse or son/daughter in your place during the gap either. This isn't Russia.

Thanks. Of course one would temporarily lose some really good senators, but perhaps it's the only real way to break the influence peddling cycle.

i think it should be just like a Presidential term.. you only get 2, 4 year terms.. if you get voted out after the first term, you can come back to run for a second.. but after that second term, you are done..
