I watched the vote live last night about 11pm GMT and it was a bit of a mess.

However, this morning,Corbyn has stated that he WONT insist on a General Election, even after what happened yesterday.

So basically he bottled it,which is why he would be a shit PM.

Yes, keep blaming Corbyn while the conservatives are driving your country down the toilet. Makes sense...

    Thanks,i will.
I always make sense, thanks for the compliment.

That made me laugh. Thank you!

The more the remainers in Parliament stop Brexit the greater the chance Nigel Farage will be the next Prime Minister or his Brexit Party will have the most votes to form a minority government.

If there's a majority in the country to leave then many disaffected Conservative and Labour voters will switch to The Brexit Party. All the remainers may be so short-sighted they're playing right into Farage's hands. Ain't that right, Nigel? ;)

I'd love to see Farage become Britain's PM. He would be the Die Another Day of British politics. After that: total recasting, back to the intellectual roots, sobering up and little to no CGI. ;-)

DAD isn't nearly as bad as many make it out to be. If we are looking at it that way, Farage wouldn't be that bad. A few bad points, sure, but some good in there too.

Well, I bet Farage could sell Icarus as the best thing in the world to his followers too. Unfortunately, Icarus is just global warming in a concentrated form. ;-)

Farage is no different from Johnson. Their goal is the same: carcrashing the UK into a Brexit, preferable No-Deal, and then they retire. In short: they both are like Gustav Graves indeed. Hellbent psychotics 🤭.

They say that an infinite number of chimps with an infinite number of typewriters would end up writing the complete worls of Shakespeare. Well, british politicians have proven that it's true. Although, so far, the only thing they wrote is the ending of Macbeth's tirade :

" It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

It's because the MPs are inhaling helium instead of oxygen. It explains a lot of what has happened over the last three years since the referendum result they don't respect or understand and aren't willing to implement.

It's because during all these years since the talks of a Brexit referendum started, Conservatives were in control. Conservatives for sake. It's the British democratic system that turns the UK parliament into a disgraceful Muppet show, one that follows the US approach of policy making (which is NONE) from their Congress and Senate. On top of that, it is Cameron who turned into a Chamberlain 2.0, selling out people's lives for a stupid, deceitful, destructive game of bluff poker. It would be helpful if British leaders would be more self-critical, and truly LEAD (Leading is not just Brexit, leading is also taking difficult complex decisions that your voters might not like. And leading most definitely should not be synonymous to lying, which happened under Cameron, May and Johnson).

If I can give an advice to Trump (you know, the 'Al Capone' of US politics), buy England instead of Greenland. England would fit perfectly as a new member state of the USA. They could be helpful as a 'Bible belt', Alabama-esque state to hand over more electoral votes to any future Christian-terrorist Republican.

Mod edit: "f***" still says what it says so avoid it, please.

My favourite radio show has been cancelled tonight for a "Brexit Special". Cause yeah, like the issue isn't getting covered enough.

Yep. I get it must be frustrating for those who voted leave, three years should be long enough but I really don't get why they think crashing out without a deal would be preferrable to waiting longer? It's crap. It's frustrating. But how would No Deal possibly be better. Your vote will have been honoured sure but would it really be bloody worth it?

Not sure why Corbyn is getting so much crap now for refusing to call for a general election too. He isn't scared. He welcomed the election in 2017 and he'd welcome it now but he's putting the country first, he wants Parliament open to get No Deal off the table and save us from the consequences (he has no interest in stopping Brexit, he's always been eurosceptic, he just wants to stop us from massively f***ing ourselves over by leaving without a deal). And the people's response?

Chicken, coward, etc. Maybe with a bit more bile they picked up from Murdoch and co's propaganda thrown in. I've said it before and said it again, we don't deserve someone like him.

This "we want to leave now" attitude imo is just a further result of people being brainwashed into thinking that Farage and co somehow have more in common with them than any of the various "others" that they like to shift the blame of our problems onto. Want to know why the press, the tories, etc, all hate Jeremy Corbyn and try to paint him as a joke? Because they're all cut from the same selfish silver spoon up their arse* cloth and his policies are a serious threat to their lifestyle. The constant painting of him as a joke by the right wing media shows to anyone with half a brain who's aware of who owns those newspapers and what sort of policies benefit them that he's actually anything but. They go to such lengths to discredit him because he really scares them.

Johnson and his rich mates would benefit massively from a no deal Brexit. The working class white British who they somehow tricked into thinking they had more in common with than equally working class immigrants would not. The real enemy is who it's always been and by being divided we're playing right into their hands.

*lets wait for someone to chime in say this applies to Corbyn as well, champagne socialist etc, as if him using his wealth and privilige to try and force others of his class to pay more to the society they thrive in is somehow a bad thing. If you have nothing and want the system challenged it's politics of envy. If you're well off and want the system challenged you're a champagne socialist. What it really comes down to is right wing billionaires who own the papers that publish crap like that will say anything to discredit anyone who wants them to pay more taxes.

I wouldn't bother, they wants their brexish precious and who cares what actual experts and the educated think.

The ignorance of it all is one of the most frustrating things about the whole process.
  • A "no deal" Brexit would -- in comparison -- make the Gallipoli landings look like a meticulously-planned military operation. (Or perhaps a better analogy... It'd make the voyage of HMS Glorious from Norwegian waters back to the Home Fleet look like a brilliant naval maneuver worthy of Nelson.)

As an interested observer across the Pond, I can only say this... Please, please, PLEASE, dear U.K. cousins, don't prove yourselves even dumber than the Americans who voted for the moronic ogre Trump. Please!

Yeah that's the saddest thing. They either choose to remain ignorant of stats like this or tell themselves we'll get through it and it'll be worth it to stand on our own (what a joke) and put the Great back in Britain (even bigger joke) etc.

As crap as it'd be for us I have to admit there is a part of me that hopes we crash out without a deal just to see how those people react to the consequences. Again, just shows how genuine Jeremy Corbyn is. I think it'd be in Labour's interest to let it happen really as it'd surely damage Conservative support in the long run, but as I said yesterday, he's putting the country first. And what do the British public say?

"Call an election then coward" "stop getting in the way of democracy" etc. Idiots, but to be fair they sadly even have a point, if the public were polled on whether to wait for a deal or just leave without one I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if the result actually said leave without a deal. Because naive misplaced patriotism (in reality we're a small damp and fairly insignificant little island and most of our history is nothing to be proud of) and lies from the rich old boys club that as usual are out only for themselves have made them think that leaving is all that matters. Well good luck to us. We're going to need it.

It's just a shame others can't see it isn't it. I get why the rich and powerful want No Deal but it's genuinely insane to me that so many working class people are still championing it. I guess the moral is never overestimate the intelligence of the British public. After all it was Cameron doing that when he tried to use them like pawns that got us into this sad state of affairs in the first place wasn't it.

Back in 1939 Neville Chamberlain cried: "We have peace of our time!". The man went into the history books as one of the biggest fools in British history. Rightfully so.

But look at Boris Johnson. And especially David Cameron indeed @thelivingroyale . The man used the poor British souls as pawns in a game of bluff poker.
