Overdubbing of female characters voices

I know it was done a lot back in the day but it does feel weird watching the movies now knowing that is the case? Great job by Nikki Van Der Zyl but it does seem weird , I think I just want to know what Carole Bouquet sounds like! Thoughts! (I know it wasn't ALL just the ladies but that's what my thread is regarding!!) Rob

She spoke fine English. Just some clueless idiots thinking a voice actress stuck in a recording booth literally phoning in the lines can do a better job. The job was terrible - no wonder they don't credit them. Nikki van der Zyl did a good job in the main, but I think the original is the best; big mistake thinking heavy accents are a problem when they in fact give the character more life & inevitably a more real performance.
