Idea: MI6 repository for 007 wallpapers

What if there was a, say, Dropbox for 007 wallpapers? I myself am looking for 1920x1080 Fleming book cover images, or 007 minimalist wallpaper. I have a large collection and would be willing to not only donate mine, but run it. Thoughts?

    well, i'd be happy to run and organize it, break it down my movie titles, misc, etc. if an admin wants to discuss, I'd be happy to.

    This would be a cool idea, and I've got a lot of wallpapers to share regarding Bond that I think others would like too.

    The only issue with using Dropbox would be the gigabyte limit imposed on how much is able to be collected in files on an account. It can be too easy to run out of space when submitting a number of images, especially if all of us are pumping the folders with tons of wallpapers.

    You could always try to keep them listed here, too. You could avoid clutter by spoiler tagging them, so for example, it'd be DN, followed by spoiler tags with some brief descriptions up top, perhaps even separated by size, type, what's featured, etc. It's a great idea!

    You could also incorporate fan wallpapers, too, if those who created them gave you permission. I've seen a lot of them made here over the years, and I've even bugged the hell out of @Murdock and @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 countless times in the past for some of their original wallpapers.

    I think there should be a central repository. I'd organize them by movie, by car, by actor, etc. Would need some official admin/site endorsement to proceed.

    You'd have to contact an admin about that, then. My only worry would be getting it organized through some site that goes down/has issues later on that wrecks all the hard work (looking at you, Photobucket).

    @=bg=, from what you've said you already have a Dropbox account active? I've used Dropbox in the past for college where the data plan was free and unlimited and after my time at university was over I had to use a standard one once my student career ended. I soon found that the folders filled up quickly with a standard plan, and there was little sense in using a service like it if you basically had to buy a premium just to use it properly.

    If you had a premium account on Dropbox it would probably be the best place to create this kind of wallpaper repository, simply because you can invite anyone who you want to view it and it has a great file system to organize content easily. The issue is simply the monthly fee, and that's a lot to ask of someone.

    Dropbox prolly isn't feasible, as it only gives you 2GB, that's why I, uh, dropped it. Box gives you 10.

    Why is some kind of permission needed, exactly? We'd all be invited to add to the folders with our wallpapers, and we'd do so privately. The only issues I'd see us running into administration wise is if we shared the wallpapers here (due to copyright rule strictness here), but I don't think that was ever the idea anyway.

    PS what I envision is getting something like Box and posting the permanent link inside the forum. You can add to it. If it gets close to 10GB, I do some housecleaning. I mean, that's a lot anyway.

    Well, they're just regular fans like us, not EON. And even in that other case, we wouldn't need their approval either.

    Ahh, you were the one who mentioned an admin. If you're just hosting wallpapers off-site, then have at it, and you shouldn't need to contact anyone for it.

    Need an admin's input. Example- a pinned post or a permanent link saying 007 WALLPAPERS here. and a way to get them in it- IE, do people put their own into it- or do they send them to me, and I am the sole person putting them in there (preferred.)

    Still don't see why all that fuss is needed.

    1.) A Box account will be created.

    2.) You invite all of us to contribute to said account through typing in our shared e-mails.

    3.) You have a folder marked "Submit here" where we drop all our wallpapers that you can then go inside and decide which files you want to keep.

    4.) After you know what wallpapers you are keeping, you sort them into the suitable folders.

    I don't think there's anything to it beyond that, as I've done this same kind of thing many times before.

    OK, we're underway. It's going to be an Imgur site that is hidden. Here's what I'd like to do. You email me what you want to submit, and I'll upload it into the right folder. Questions: how will everyone know it's here? Can a blurb be posted about it? After I've uploaded all of mine, I'll give out the URL. Do this sound doable?
