Definitely TWINE in the other one.
DAD, that film at least understands the fun it's having. TWINE is taking itself too seriously.
Yes, you may.
TWINE over DAD
TWINE
Tough second choice : TWINE over DAD ,though.
TWINE
TWINE
Easily.
TWINE over DAD pretty easily. Every other official Bond movie over DAD easily.
Well, there’s a lot of Pierce in here, and that makes it difficult for me as a Brozzer fan.
It will have to be Goldeneye - great first entry for Pierce, he appears up for the job and the tank chase is a series highlight. Great job.
TWINE These two are virtually neck and neck for me, I really do like the bonkers over the top excess of DAD, but having recently seen TWINE on the big screen at the BFI I’m in the mood to give it the edge. Plus I do love a bit of Garbage (the band, not my review of the film).
DAD
Deciding between TWINE and DAD is a choice between cancer and polio. TWINE was why I thought DAD wasn't so bad in its first half, a chance the latter ruined completely in the second half. But still, TWINE is my No. 23, DAD No. 24, so TWINE it has to be.
TWINE over DAD. Both around the bottom (DAD AT the bottom), but TWINE has more positives.
Whew! That was close. Happy that Sir Rog's 004th beat his 007th .
What are the other two ties in this tournament?
Round 115:
LTK. If GE had starred Dalton instead of Brosnan as originally intended and been scored by John Barry my vote would probably go the other way.
and
DAD. No contest. Brosnan's much maligned 004th is far less pretentious and much more fun than his 003rd, CGI warts and all.
LALD vs LTK
and
TB vs GE
TWINE
Second one is also hard, for different reasons. I'm actually going to go with DAD. It's as daft as a brush, and has a couple of insipid scenes, but at least it doesn't take itself too seriously, and on occasion, looks spectacular. TWINE has a huge identity crisis, and is simply, boring. That's is the worst sin for a Bond film, even worse than the stupidity of DAD.
TWINE. Flawed, but it does have Robbie Coltrane and the lovely Sophie Marceau. You also have a touching – and as it turned out – final scene with Desmond Llewelyn’s “Q”. Of course TWINE also has, maybe, the worse pun in cinema history……..
Among the average person, it still is.
GE wins the first set easily.
Second pick was harder, but I’ll just give it to TWINE. I don’t hate either film, I just feel TWINE was put together a bit better.
