    TLD, with considerable ease.

    TB, with genuine difficulty.

TLD, closer than some would like.

    QoS, but only slightly.

    TLD not even close.

    TB just eeks it out.

Wow this first one is tough. While I’ll acknowledge that TLD feels like a more complete film with more moving parts, LALD is just so much fun and out of the two the one I find myself revisiting more so....

    LALD over TLD

The second is a lot easier. A battle between IMO possibly the most overrated Bond movie vs. arguably the most underrated.

    QOS over TB

    TLD

My favorite 1980s Bond film. For that matter, my favorite post-1960s Bond film.

    and

    TB

Bond and Connery at their apex of 1960s uber-coolness and super-confidence.

Easy for me since both of these are in my top 5.

LALD vs TLD -I feel that Dalton overall had a stronger debut than Moore. These are my least favourites from Hamilton and Glen repectively, but what works in TLD works really well-the pts, Bratislava, final showdown with Necros and Whitaker. In LALD it s just New York and the alligator farm. TLD wins.

TB vs QOS-both have a water theme, and both are a step down from their immediate predecessors, but still good Bond films. Last I checked, QOS was just inside my top ten, while TB was a wee bit outside, so QOS for the win.

TLD. A toss-up but my love for Maryam d’Abo wins out (ok shot me if you want!!).
TB. A flawed Connery Bond, but still a classic.

Nothing wrong with Maryam. Those who say otherwise are back end of horse.

Personally, I like both of Dalton’s female leads. They would both even make my top 5 together with Tracy, Vesper and Tania.

Pam gets placed close to the bottom for me.

Kinky, as barry007 would no doubt say!

    TLD and QoS.

TLD is an engrossing spy story, at least for the first two-thirds. d'Abo is perfectly cast opposite Dalton and her Kara is a top-five female lead.

QoS is indeed underrated (its dramatic heft is overshadowed by the editing). TB is always a slog for me.

    I find I’m using @barryt007 ‘s famous line everywhere I go now:

    Boss: Edit this to completion.

This Bond film stands out as the one with the best looking Bond girl that has ever graced our screens. Roger's performance is really good. And then there's a lot that goes wrong. Nonetheless, LALD is Oscar worthy compared to the hate-filled bulldust that is NSNA.

    SF
I'm willing to give TMWTGG its score and villain, but that's pretty much it. SF beats the film in literally every other department. People have criticised SF for minor plot inconsistencies and, above all, incredulous twists. Well, if you want a total lack of credibility, cohesion and consistency, watch TMWTGG.
