    I actually doubt EON would let their baby out of their hands, but after seeing what they did with Lego Batman (which was surprisingly ridiculously entertaining for adults), I would totally be down for Lego Bond.

    Off topic, but my avatar gives away that I'm a big fan of the 007 game they released for the Gameboy, and I think it'd be cool if they made a modern Bond game that was maybe a little more like GTA than Call of Duty; 3rd person action adventure game with exploration, shooting + driving, Baccarat/Poker sequences, etc.

    The Gameboy game excelled in my view because it wasn't all about shooting.

    Anyways, Lego and Bond are two properties I've been extremely passionate about for a majority of my life so I'm beyond thrilled the two logos will appear side-by-side on the same box finally.

    Give Rockstar the licence now and ask them to come up with something for the 60th? I’d be on board with that.

    While I'd like for Rockstar to tackle a Bond game, I'm definitely against an open world game. Sandbox levels like Hitman, I'm on board with, but an open world game with a super non-linear storyline would take the cinematic feel out of the experience. And I like my Bond games cinematic.

    Agreed. I was truly impressed by how fun LEGO Batman was. Alas, the only way a LEGO Bond movie could happen would be if Warner Bros did start distribute Bond movies. Who knows, maybe when a new actor carries over, assuming Universal won't distribute the movies beyond Bond 25.

    I’ll definitely pick up a LEGO 1964 Aston Martin DB5. I would also like to see some traditional LEGO sets like these:



    If this ends up leading to a LEGO James Bond game where you can play from Dr. No all the way through Spectre, that would be great!

    I saw Incredibles 2 today. One of the trailers was Lego Movie 2, and I immediately thought "Wouldn't it be cool if James Bond was included in this universe?" And then, I read the MI6 update this afternoon. perfect timing.

    I must applaud EON, however: their earlier decisions to not want to conflate guns/gun violence with kids toys is a respectable position. Yes, guns and weaponry are part of Batman and Star Wars, too, but there is something different about weaponry from a Comics or sci-fi standpoint.

    I have a vivid memory of having a James Bond cap gun when I was a kid (this would have been during Dalton's time, late 80s, maybe 1990). It was probably an unlicenced knock off though to be fair.

    TWINE - Q boat and cigar girl boat, submarine.
    DAD - Hovetcraft chase, Antonov.
    CR - Construction site, airport set (complete with overflying 747), collapsing house.
    QOS - Struggling a bit - rope fight?
    SF - Digger on a train, crashing tube train.
    SP - Plane chase.

    I’d genuinely shell out money for at least half of those but the DB5? Nah.

    I noticed you left out TMWTGG. The funhouse maybe, cars from car chase, the solex room?

    I think something like this has been overdue for Bond. But I guess it's where your interests relating to Bond outside of the films are. I love the movies and games but as someone who likes collecting action figures and taking pictures of my collection, I'd be happy with some Bond action figures. I don't much care for legos, but I'd have to see what they look like first before I consider getting them. And while those Big Chief and Sideshow figures look great. They are far too large for my liking. I'd much rather have something like this. These custom Bond figures are pretty awesome.

    I hope to the heavens they are making a Lego videogame to release along side Bond 25.

    They are making an incredibles 2 Lego game to release with that film, so you never know. They are running out of other franchises to Lego-fy, Bond has to get the treatment eventually.

    Imagine being able to play through all 25 films, from the whole Connery era to the whole Craig era. It could the most giant, epic, best Lego game ever. Just get rid of that dialogue and go back to a more Star Wars/Indiana Jones approach.

    Considering there are many fan builds of the DB5 (of varying accuracy), it will be interesting to see how Lego will tackle the vehicle's complex, iconic curves. Naturally, the size of the car will have an effect on how accurate it looks. I'm not a fan of those building block shapes that look like they were custom-made for one particular set only. I understand it's part of the evolution of Lego to design new shapes, but when I was a kid we had to use our imagination more, and use what pieces we could to make our custom builds.

    They did a good job with the profile shape of the Chiron which makes me think this could be something along those lines. But if it’s the DB5 with all the gadgets, including the ejector seat, you’d think they’d want a figure that could be ejected from it, in which case I think they’d try to do a minifig-scale model (like the BttF DeLorean), which would be my preference. Even though, a UCS DB5 complete with a minifig for each Bond actor would be amazing (similar to the UCS Tumbler which came with Batman and the Joker, despite not being minifig scale).
