data doesn't lie, seems like a very niche fanbase to me
And let’s not forget that NTTD is the second highest grossing Hollywood film of the year.
The only two Bond films that have been able to achieve that over the last 30 years are SF and NTTD.
The latest James Bond pic only had its home ent release in the last two weeks of the year but managed to become 2021’s biggest title, selling 1,148,000 units across both disc and digital formats.
That’s roughly £20M in two weeks in the UK alone.
As of December 31st NTTD’s PVOD rents made £6,445,700.
I know it’s a stupid thing to say but combining both NTTD’s theatrical and PVOD gross the film outgrossed SF. :D
Regarding the physical units, NTTD managed to pull off the largest week one disc sales since 2017 and the biggest ever week one on (more pricey) 4K UHD.
That’s sweet.
That is sweet! Thank you for the updates.

Regardless of how fans feel about the film, it would be a huge coup for EON to get anything other than a technical/music-related nomination.
I hope it does win some awards, it'll be great for the franchise and honestly the playing field in 2021 sucked anyway so they have a good chance. As I said previously it was a good film other than the ending in my opinion.
It was well deserved, one of the best films to be honest
Yep. Now the Craig era is complete I am more confident than ever that Skyfall is the best of them, followed closely by Casino.
Agreed - it's a "prestige" blockbuster that appeals to an older demographic. I wouldn't be shocked though if a "non-prestige" blockbuster like Spider-Man: No Way Home gets a Best Picture nod coming off its wild critical and audience success in the US.
I kept reading DVD as DAD and was confused for awhile there.
It may get one at the British Academy Awards, but not at the American Academy Awards.
And I believe the "Inside Die Another Day" documentary has yet to find its way to the Ultimate and/or Blu-ray editions for whatever reason, so it's worth keeping the original Special Edition release around!
If NTTD could get a BP nod — that would be MASSIVE. Wow.
To me, right now, I think the almost surefire nominees for BP will be:
Belfast
Dune
The Green Knight
House of Gucci
King Richard
Licorice Pizza
Spencer
West Side Story
That's eight. On the fringe:
Drive My Car
The French Dispatch
Mass
No Time to Die
The Power of the Dog
The Survivor
Tick, Tick...Boom!
Titane
The Tragedy of Macbeth
The Worst Person in the World
You're absolutely right, I meant to include it on the fringe as I think it has a bit more of a fight to get in the nominees, but it's got a strong case. It's one of many "in any year other than 2021 this would be a guaranteed BP nominee" films this year.

Americans’ moviegoing comfort levels have hovered around 50% since October 2021, after peaking last year at 55% on July 4, according to research firm Morning Consult’s weekly consumer sentiment surveys.
Younger consumers — a key demo for “Spider-Man: No Way Home” — have consistently remained the most comfortable with returning to movie theaters: 61% of millennials and 58% of Gen Zers said they’re OK with seeing a film in theaters, as of Dec. 30.
Hopefully 2022 is a better year, I think a lot of folks would rather save their money as opposed to spending it to help prop up businesses while being subjected to nonsense mandates which could explain the drop in percentage points...2021 data should honestly be thrown out.
