Odegaard perhaps encapsulates why paternity leave is a thing. He seems to be completely exhausted and nothing he tries is working, always hitting the first man etc. Feel bad for him but without him and Saka we'd be more useless than we currently are.
What ever happens Amorim is making us tougher to beat so there is progress, United have had a soft underbelly for a long time.
Good opportunity to United.
I am surprised how different you are this season, the free flowing attacking football has vanished.
Since Xhaka left the free-flowing football stopped. Losing 4-1 to City in 22-23 scared Arteta into driving for more and more control. First half of 23-24 we were poor but lucky, and second half we seemed to take it up to another level with beating down on the small teams like City did, helped build a run.
This season, we've tried for even more control with Merino (who has been useless unfortunately), which hurt us even more when Odegaard was out. The lack of creativity means that Martinelli and Trossard have both been poor, and Havertz drifts over causing him to go dry. Despite being our top scorer I don't think Havertz ever scores our first in games.
Set pieces were helpful for a bit but we've gone dry for a while now. Without Saka, right-sided deliver is poor.

It's clear we can only write off this season for Arsenal. They've been struggling for a long time, and all the injuries really just highlights the fact that the squad isn't good enough. What @Reflsin2bourbons mentions re. Xhaka is also very true. There's something missing from this team ever since he left.
I don't think we will see this Arsenal team win any trophies anytime soon, and you have to question Arteta too; I'm really not sure he is the one that can take Arsenal to another level – if anybody can at all.
