Have you ever seen anything more likely to go up in value? If only I had a garage to store these away for the next twenty years. £9.5K-£11.5K!!

Yeah it's horrid. Putting those extra lines around the radiator opening actually makes it look like an old man.

As you say, JW, they have completely forgotten elegance.

I dislike it too. The reason Astons have always been the loveliest of the super expensive car segment was their ability to design elegant sports cars.
This seems to be turned around now, as if they're making cars for lottery winners or football players. Just like the rest of the lot. Pains me to see that.

What in the name of Bamford and Martin have they done? Kill it, kill it with fire... NOW!

I do actually tend to think that James Bond got the seemingly last vaguely pretty (although I don't like it hugely) Aston with the DB10. Since then they've all been rather nasty-looking.

It's a freaking speedster. They're supposed to be eccentric and fun. Take a look at the McLaren speedster, or the Ferrari one, or the new Bentley. They're all cuckoo head's creations. I don't dislike it. I'd love to see them all race each other. Now that would be something.

The little insignia on the back looks a touch familiar... if you're into shady evil organizations that is.

The DB10 is better looking then the current Vantage on which it is based, IMO.

Those Speedsters are lovely; the Aston isn't, I would say.

Yeah I saw the Bentley the other day: a bit of another misfire. Curiously it reminds me of an old Firebird or something.

I don't mind it, but of the 3 its definitely the ugly car of the bunch. The Ferrari SP Monza is one of the most beautiful modern cars ever, IMO.

Yeah I think I’m the last few years Aston and Ferrari have swapped places in terms of aesthetics: it used to be Aston making the beautiful cars from the 90s or so, but recently Ferrari are making stunners whilst Astons look a lot worse.

I don't like it that much either, one of the few AM models that gets a "meh" from me.

Meanwhile, AM is developing their own V6 to replace AMG's V8:

I thoroughly disagree. I admit that the AM's have been more 'outspoken'and less elegant, which I regret, but to say Ferrari's taken over in the aestetics department? If there's one brand of cars that's always been screaming at passers-by it's Ferrari, and I haven't seen that change.

Allthough I'm not sure about the new Vantage, I do love the DB11. On photo's it's not that impressive, but IRL it works perfectly. Still, I wouldn't mind if they returned to a bit more DB9 class. But everyone here was complaining in those days that 'all AM's looked the same'. Now they've come up with a completely different design and people are complaining about that...

What is it? A pre-iron curtain-opening Skoda...or something? I can tell it is being sold by a German car dealer here, and I'm actually ashamed I can't tell what it is.

I’m not saying they’re subtle, but around the time that the LaFerrari came out they showed that they are beautiful. And Astons have lost the beauty. Look at the DBS Superleggera: it’s a mess of bits and pieces.

Oh I don't find the LaFerrari beautiful at all! I appreciate the technology and what it does, but I'd take a Veyron or anything that came after it over the Ferrari when it comes down to styling. Now the DBS Superleggera is a bit too much for my taste, but I'd call that 'too much Ferrari'. Too wild, too much agression and no elegance left. I don't find it an ugly car though.

None of them really tick my boxes though, as they're no way GT's. Imagine having to cross 2000 KM in either of them on bendy roads. You'd be shaken and broken within half an hour.

Oh damn: I liked Bristol. Never actually beautiful, but always with just an air of class about them which made them very cool.
