Could it be that Matera scene is split in half with a PTS in between?

    Norway, 25 years ago → Matera 2015 → PTS → Matera 2015 again → Jamaica, present day

First part of Matera (before PTS) starts with Bond and Swann having a good time up until something destroys the peace (graveyard explosion for instance). It segues into PTS, and after that we have a car and motorbike chase and other action scenes. It ends with Bond putting Madeleine on a train and leaving for Jamaica.

Pure speculation, but is it possible?

    Highly unlikely imo.

    I can't wait!

It's interesting that a lot of people out there think this film's gonna bomb the franchise, because I feel this is gonna be the most exciting one yet. Not to take anything away from CR or SF, but there's just something about this one that feels on another level and even with the cool changes they seem have made, it feels like a classic James Bond adventure.

in the oscar tv spot, is the china man the same one from poker in CR and Shanghai casino in SF? He is standing behind bonds right.

The "china man"? Are you for real?

I wonder if you're talking about Fukutu, and I don't think so. But he wasn't in Skyfall either.

English may not be his first language. Without knowing the baggage attached, “China man” is an understandable phrase. I don’t think we give people the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Fair point. Giving @Tuck91 the benefit of the doubt, here's a link to start learning about the slur: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinaman_(term)
Maybe some think I'm going overboard, but I do think about our members here that are Asian and may not be thrilled to see this slur used regardless of the intention.

Fair again. I think I feel the same way as you toward things said to me. However, I will never know the experience of people from other cultures, and even a person of Asian descent who feels the same way that we do (couldn't be angry at a person who doesn't have malicious intent) may not be able to brush off racial slurs in the same way we can.
My thought is, why not use the opportunity to help create a slightly more inclusive environment?
I'll concede that I reacted wrong to the original comment (but I have seen on a few occasions this word used in a malicious intent and my mind went straight there on seeing it again), so I apologize @Tuck91. I'm sure your intent was not malicious.

Wise words. I always felt that if someone were to insult me with a slur, that someone in my view is insulting and embarrassing themselves rather than making me personally feel that way. And if the slur is simply used out of pure ignorance with no intent of insulting, then again that's their own embarrassment and they should be left to learn something from that (if they can). That's how you be the better man/woman/etc. But it definitely is seemingly a thing in our culture to become more reactionary to perceived insults. I don't want to invalidate the emotions of someone feeling genuinely insulted and upset over it, but I wish there was more encouragement about how to manage one's self internally rather than, intentionally or not, make a show for everyone. But that's how the internet especially works, you have to be loud to get the most attention.

    @Red_Snow Thanks :)

Although I would like to have screencaps of the whole spot and DM link

That’s spooky, the way they’re all looking at him. Spectre members?

I love it. It's interesting considering the gas that seems to descend not long after this. Do they think they've got Bond in their clutches and then... *boom* gas!

It is, I believe, as the woman from the Rome meeting in Spectre is there (can't remember her name).

Yep, and the woman on the right is Lourdes Faberes. She was listed on iMDb for a while as a Spectre agent. Really cool that she's got a shot in one of trailers. I wonder what happens to them, and i wonder if she takes on Bond or Paloma?

Not trying to be sardonic....but i believe the trailer did say it will change everything.....maybe that includes the color grading as well....amongst other things we might still see in the film....and at this point, am not even surprised anymore....coz the Craig era is renowned for deconstructing & constructing, sometimes to good effect....I can't say I will be surprised if Craig's Bond orders a bottle of Pepsi in NTTD.

If Matera is really split in two, it's not right after the explosion (beginning of an action setpiece) that it weaves into the main titles. The first part would be Bond and Madeleine arriving and enjoying themselves, the second part would be the day after.

My take is that only Norway in the PTS. Same kind of opening as 'Inglorius Basterds'

Imagine if Norway and Matera both in the PTS and title song after that. Longest Opening in the series, could be 30 minutes long @-) .
After title Sequence we might get some Scenes of new 00 in London or whoever that was in the trailer.

After that we might get first peek at bond in Jamaica.

I may end up hating big chunks of NTTD for all of the bringing up Bond’s, and other characters’, past, or because all of the ties back to SP, or Bond losing his 00, or maybe I’ll love the whole thing.
    But,

    “I have made you redundant.”
“Not as long as there are people like you in the world.”

is worth the entirety of SP and then some! I’m satisfied.

    Agreed.

synopsis of the film from my local Vue , Retirement doesn’t suit James Bond. When an old friend turns up to his Jamaican retreat in need of help, the spy is taken on a mission far more treacherous than even he could have expected. Léa Seydoux, Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes and Rami Malek star in the 25th film in the Bond series.

    Read the full synopsis
Having left active service, James Bond (Daniel Craig) spends his retirement feeling the weight of separation from Madeleine (Léa Seydoux). His solitude is fleeting, though, when Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), an old friend from the CIA, shows up unexpectedly.

Agreeing to help Felix Bond is thrust back into action. Reunited with M (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), Bond is also introduced to a new Double-O (Lashana Lynch) at MI6.

Joined by Paloma (Ana de Armas), Bond is led onto the trail of a mysterious, masked villain armed with dangerous technology and known only as Safin (Rami Malek). But life back in the field also forces him to confront an old foe (Christoph Waltz) who threatens to reveal a sinister secret about the buried past of Madeleine

My hope is, and I feel it will be, that NTTD will be a dynamic balance of the "personal" nature of Craig's films with the stylishness and larger than life, threat to the world, villain of the vintage Bond's.

If it can do that, then I'll be one happy Bond fan. :-bd

Yes. Feels like it might actually have a story at the heart of it.
