I bet that's a real beaut in cinemas. I'm glad you got to attend it!
Thanks @Creasy47, yes it was brilliant to finally see it in the Cinema! Felt odd as I watch it annually at Christmas! 🤣
You and I both! I've only seen a few of the older ones in cinemas when I got to run the movie program at my college but OHMSS wasn't one of them, sadly.
I'd love if these would play nearby; it'll never happen but I'd love to see a bunch of these on the big screen.

Is this disappointing or okay?
I always wonder if the younger generation (12 to 25 years) still likes Bond. Are there any younger viewer in the cinema? Apart from the ones who are going with their dads?
I was shocked last year how little of my students (16 to 20 years old) know some of the Bond movies.
Anyway, I would love to see some of the old movies on the big screen.
Of the 3 screenings I was at thus far, there was no more than 20 people at them. None were young!!

Unlike in the US I dont think daily takings are made publicly available, any weekday takings are included in the cumulative figures after week 2, 3, 4 etc which these dont have.
Yes, its Tuesday evenings here in Dublin too! Gave DAF a miss, hope to see LALD next week!
Also, there was a really odd edit in this one. When Bond leaves the Voodoo shop, Strutter goes “I got him, in my sights”, which was cut. Given the other language in the film which remained, this was very odd. Also due to the music cut, super noticable.
How bizarre. Perhaps they erroneously edited that part because they thought it was voyeuristic? ;)
Always have a soft spot for LALD, ever since that TV debut, when it had a massive viewing figure!
Great set pieces, one of the strongest set of villains, cracking theme song, and Roger slipping comfortably into 007 shoes! Speaking of '007' always thought it strange they use the number in the design on the back of the Tarot cards, kind of jumped out at me in the scene after Bond and Rosie make love!

TSWLM achieves the highest chart position so far, only just short of Goldfinger, but a better screen average due to less screens. Perhaps boosted by Fathers Day.
(A lot of the regulars missing!)
However didn't spoil my enjoyment of this ultimate guilty pleasure Bond. Fab print, and Ken Adams set design looked tremendous. Despite the low turnout, there was a big laugh for that final "re-entry" scene. Great way to end probably my most enjoyable viewing of these reshowings. Onto FYEO next week!

A solid showing for one of the lesser loved Bond films I would say.
https://filmforum.org/series/1962-1963-1964
JFK’s “Camelot,” the Cuban Missile Crisis, the March on Washington, the assassination in Dallas, and the Dual Brit juggernauts of James Bond and The Beatles: they were the years of bold new movements in art, photography, fashion, dance, design, and film. A movement in movie history that saw the last gasps of the Hollywood studio system, some of the best work of veteran filmmakers (David Lean, Bunuel, Kazan, Hitchcock), and a cinema re-invigorated by a new generation that included Kubrick, Fellini, Godard, Truffaut, Polanski, Demy, Leone, Coppola, Varda, et al.
Presented in association with the Jewish Museum’s exhibition “New York: 1962-1964” and Film at Lincoln Center’s series “New York, 1962-1964: Underground and Experimental Cinema”
Decent turnout for one of Rogers more overlooked Bond movies! Enjoyed this as much as 'Moonraker ' last week! Seemed to fly by, and the underwater scenes which @Birdleson alludes to as 'interminable' in another thread, didnt seem as bad! Oddly the one thing that kept distracting me was the zip on Bonds blue winter jacket, which has a large letter 'B' on it! Couldn't take my eyes off it!! Anyway, enjoyed Operation Undertow, onto 'Octopussy' next, my first cinema Bond, from hereon in I've seen all the films on the big screen before!

FYEO delivers the second lowest amount (DAF is still lowest), possibly not helped by it being on ITV over the same weekend.
Tickets are now on sale for FRWL and GF (no DN for some reason).

Saturday, July 30 3:00 PM
Tuesday, August 2 3:00 PM
GF
Friday, August 5 4:35 PM

Great viewing of my favourite Rog Bond movie last night! The usual suspects attended, up to 20 patrons.
Brought back memories of a hot Summer afternoon in 1983 in a packed auditorium!
Print was a bit ropey in places, but still sound was terrific particularly in that fabulous pts!
May give AVTAK a miss next week ( Or is it NSNA? Anyone know are they showing Connerys return?)
No NSNA, EoN Bond only. I think the Prince Charles had NSNA as part of their own 007 season though. That was quite a few months ago.
Note: Weekend takings only (Fri-Sun), films are screening in the week.

Alas not an all time high this week. A disappointing total (for me anyway, I think OP is great) with the lowest weekly takings of a Bond film to date, being just under Diamonds are Forever. My local cancelled the Sunday screening due to technical errors, so I went last night and this audience wont be accounted for. Maybe there were others cancelled too?
Anyway, we’re now at the half way point (13 of 25) and in total, the takings for the 60th anniversary re-releases is £118,993, an average of £9153 per film.
My hunch is takings wont pick up until Goldeneye.
Thanks for that @Mallory , didnt think NSNA would be part of it! Oh well, skipping AVTAK, it will be onto my man Daltons two...Yesssssssss! Just in time for my holidays from work! Lovely!
