It's not perfect (Madeleine looks like a teenager), but I find this new international poster miles better and cinematic than any official posters since Casino Royale or The World is Not Enough. It's also the most traditional looking one of the Craig era, and signals to the audience that this film will be a grand, globe-trotting adventure.

While Casino's posters were fantastic in their low-key and mysterious way (especially the poker table one), what followed hasn't exactly been amazing:

Quantum - angry Bond and gloomy Camille walking in a desert
Skyfall - is this Bond or a bodyguard to a Russian oligarch?
Spectre - not so gloomy (a good thing!), a simple leading man and leading lady look

    EON: New poster!
Fans: Not good enough. So sick of the minimalist look that took 5 mins to make - We want cluttery old school posters!
    EON: OK, here you go!
Fans: WTF is this? Looks like lazy fan art!

    There's simply no winning...
I prefer the B&W one myself. Love the mood it emulates.

You praise posters for being low key and at the same time you criticise others for being "not so gloomy".

    Ok.

Not at all. I wasn't clear, but I find Spectre's posters an improvement on QOS and Skyfall despite the similar approach for all three films. Sometimes a certain style works well, sometimes it doesn't... in any case, I'm just glad to see an old-school adventure-style poster for a change with NTTD.

Much, much better, IMO. No 3 Bonds, no amalgama of character posters, no Q.

He's done better ones! But the latest poster for NTTD is similar to his work!

I like the poster. it's the first one of the Craig era that doesn't look like it could be a men's fashion campaign. Generally I really like the teasers and then I'm underwhelmed by the main ones - but I feel the other way around with NTTD. I enjoy having some of the action in the background and a poster with some layers to it. It's nowhere near as good as classic Bond posters (LALD,TLD etc) but it's a step in the right direction after the recent Craig era trend.

All print advertising so far involves the teaser in front of the blue wall or the above "Craig in blue sweater" poster. Any reason why the final poster (if it is legitimate) has not turned up on any official website?

Which final poster? The black and white one is the final one for UK for sure... And the recent international one was released by multiple official Universal accounts - clearly not being used in English language markers.

OK, I get it. In any case, the international poster still lacks full credits and it is so far not feautured on any Universal website. I found that puzzling, but maybe everything kicks into gear later.

It's a fan poster that someone attempted to submit to the competition (see the stamp on the top right). Unsuccessfully, clearly, given they've been able to post this online and that it isn't an illustration

I don't see how it couldn't be to be honest: never seen those images anywhere else.
