The Bond in AUF reminded me a lot of Timothy Dalton, whether that's what they were going for or not! However, the voice of Bond was really un-Bondlike. He didn't sound very much like a 00 Agent to me!
Ah, I didn't know that. So I guess he was the Bond video game veteran! I never said he was terrible, I just said that it wasn't spot-on 007.
Hahaha! Brosmoore! That's pretty good. But yes, he does remind me of Timothy Dalton in appearance. I mean they pretty much copied Dalton's features and added another guy's voice.
Who? Timothy Dalton or the representation of Bond from AUF?
ahh, I understand. But, do you know that the original idea for AUF was to feature Connery's Bond in his 40s (Bond in DAF)? MGM denied the idea because of the timeline and the era, so they had to create their own pseudo-Bond (Bicknell).
Oh, and that John Clesse's likeness was also to be included as Q, a pic of in-game Cleese was shown in a AUF preview in an issue of OPS2 Magazine UK, but EA weren't able to work out all the rights issue's, so the character became a generic Q.

This, I was not aware of. Much as I love Connery's Bond (second favorite, after Craig), I'm actually glad this didn't happen.
These two items, however, I did know. Though he was R in that game, MDS.
Say, this is probably a topic for a different discussion, but how many of you actually feel the games to be canon (at least the original ones, anyway)?
Really? because when i played TWINE he really sounded like Bond but in Agent Under Fire he sounded real deep voice
Was he? It's been a while since I played AUF, but wasn't there a generic Q and a female R? IIRC, she shows up after the Tank chase in Bucharest.
I wouldn't have minded seeing connerys bond in the present day, would've been fun
After hearing how he sounded in the FRWL game, I'd have liked them to have used an impresonator
I know, which is why it seemed weird, his old voice coming from his young body. But its not his fault, overall he did a decent job.
