I didn't like any of the Brosnan Bond films, so certainly wouldn't want him in NTTD.

Also, Bond would never sport a moustache.

    It's a disguise!

    Enjoyed that, @kadeklodt.

    I’d rather stick with DC.

Sorry for all Craig fans, I had to do it.

I've had this nightmare many times since 2002. Fortunately it will never happen.

I do remember www.danielcraigisnotbond.com trying to start a boycott over CR so that after it would fail at the box office they would petition Pierce Brosnan to return to his "rightful" role, much like how Connery came back for DAF.

That worked out well for them, didn't it? ;)

Yeah, But I think unlike Connery, Brosnan was aching to return....even if the movie turned out to be his DAF, at least his enthusiasm would have counted for something. Part of me can't help but think had Brosnan returned for CR, it wouldn't have been another DAD or his DAF....because he would have had Martin Campbell who knew how to get the best out of him & it would have been some reunion.

The conceit was that Brosnan would come after CR, for a Bond 22 in 2008 if DCINB got their way. Besides, even if Brosnan returned for CR there wouldn't have been a chance of Campbell returning. He had made it clear then that he would only be interested in returning if a new actor took over after Brosnan, just as in recent years he's adamant about only returning when a new actor takes over from Craig.

Yeah, true...Campbell likes ushering in New Bonds.

I suppose if nothing else it's a timely reminder that even at a time like this, things could always be worse.

Brosnan is 66 years old. Let the man go. He did his part, it’s not like Dalton or Lazenby who should’ve done at least a couple more, a missed opportunity. The only missed opportunity of Brosnan’s era is wishing the overall quality of his films were better. I’m sure he’s tired of being asked about Bond all the time.

Daniel Craig is James Bond, nobody else. Until he isn’t.

Yes. At the time I couldn't stand Brosnan as Bond or the films. Couldn't wait for him to go. The news EON had fired him was like unexpected music to my ears. But these days I see the Brosnan era more from the perspective of a missed opportunity. I still would have preferred that Tim carry on in the role, but I also wonder what could have been if Brozza had had better writing and most importantly, better direction.

So, NTTD's Bond scenes were re-shot with Brosnan? I guess that's the real reason why they delayed the film until November, man.

Another Brosnan trailer with him in Skyfall, the role that is changed for Kincade is the great late veteran opera singer/actor Johannes Heesters.
