Can you give me a decade it's in?
sounds familiar, I am so striking out.
It would help if we actually got a verbatim quote that isn't bunched into a sentenced and crammed between parenthesis. I can't clearly make out what is to be the whole quote to even begin to offer a guess as to what film it appears in.
Goodnight My love Further Orders In The Morning
And I don't know; it sounds like a spy movie. Or a war movie. Or Casablanca which is both plus romance. There that's my guess. Casablanca!
Yes, that may well be the full quote, but there are no commas included that point out the beats in the sentence that lead to sounding out and therefore deciphering where the quote fits best. But I can say that it isn't Casablanca, at the least.
I'll guess For Whom the Bell Tolls. It sounds wartime.
No wait, I don't think Wayne ever said "my love."
OK, giving up for now.
Haha, I hear a lot of actors/actresses saying it, that's the enigma. I do believe we are on the right track, though. It sounds to be from a classic.
It's not Robin Hood Sorry Brady.
No need to keep apologizing. The game is on, and that is good!
How about Gone With the Wind?
Some more attempts please before we start with clues.
A verbatim quote would be appreciated...
That's too easy a clue, though.
Hope this is of help.
I can almost picture John Mills saying this
Let us have some clues then.
That is the first step to solving this puzzle.
EDIT: Imitation of life? might be wrong but I remember watching that film at school and it was about a nanny, so worth a guess.
Imitation of life is indeed the film YOU are thinking of. However, it is not a famous film and therefore should not qualify for this thread ;) ..............hopefully.
It is famous film lines, not films themselves. Many horrible films can have some great quotes.
I will guess Rear Window.
