I wonder why someone has kept it all these years, you’d think that would cost more to store than be likely to come in useful.
It spent quite a few years at Chatham Dockyard, where some of the PTS boat chase was filmed. I kept meaning to go and see it - guess I'll just have to go to the IoW instead!

Ah thank you, that's very interesting. I guess it probably makes for an impressive exhibit.

No time to die origins . Goldeneye where Bond was born.
Goldeneye. Ian Fleming biography film, with Charles Dance.
Well that's a bit of a turn-up: so obviously they're not looking to throw the towel in and sell off Bond as some have suggested. I think it might be the first time we've heard them talk about Bond beyond NTTD..?
They've not said much, but that they've even said anything at all is news in itself :)
That Saga cover is really something!

I see the second cover is more influenced by the Goldfinger film than the novel what with what is clearly Gert Frobe and the laser beam scene instead of the buzz saw one! I suppose you can't put the genie back in the bottle once he's been released!

Now why do I post this on the MI6 boards?
Although there has been no artist named for the project, two promo images have been released with the anouncement:
I don't know about you, but those do remind me of someone we know very well...
In all likelyhood Millar just told the two artists they hired for the promo images (who will not be the artist for the book) to look at late-Brosnan as an inspiration and this isn't a very thinly veiled casting announcement. But still, maybe this will develop into a kind-of, sort-of, nodding, winking "Old Bond" spin-off with Pierce Brosnan that some fans have been asking for for some time now.
And it looks like he's got a Cobra too :)
(I love that red artwork- that's lovely)
