Never Before Seen.
(A classic Bond attitude)
That was a great TV series in the 60/70's era, with Alfred Burke, which I'm currently rewatching onTalking Pictures channel. Burke plays world weary ex con Frank Marker, who tries to eke out a living as an Enquiry Agent, ( he never says Private Eye!) Great show, Marker is a wonderful character!
Yes, I concur. I got a few DVDs of Public Eye in a charity shop a while back and started watching them. Some were colour episodes and some the older black and white ones. As you say, Marker is a great character. I knew Alfred Burke from his creepy portrayal of a child abductor in the Tales of the Unexpected episode "The Flypaper". It's one of the scariest episodes simply because it's sadly all too plausible. Burke was a great actor.
Oh, Yeah. But I haven't really watched it like Patrick McGoohan's Danger Man.
Oh, yeh, I've only seen that episode of 'Tales of the Unexpected' recently. It has a horribly upsetting ending for anyone, like me, who has a young daughter! Burke tends to crop up in all sorts of minor roles, he has great presence as an actor!
Sorry, I seemed to have derailed this thread!
Back on topic, slightly, @RichardTheBruce thread about 'On this Day' states the premiere of 'Goldfinger' in Argentina back in the day, as having the title 'Fingers of Gold', hasn't quite got the same impact 😂😂
