it could the the aston dbs from QOS but in good shape, or another car that could be elegant and also sports.

Bond did drive a hire car (presumably) to the airport in LTK but it wasn't a fancy one. I believe that YOLT is the only Bond film where Bond doesn't drive a vehicle at all.
He drives the yellow buggy after they dispose of the original crew, driving it in order to get to the space shuttle.

Would be nice for Bond to visit Japan again, maybe a luxury Lexus? Something different!
There's just something really Bondian about him driving an Aston. Just give him a nice up to date model. No more 'homages'

Everybody I know personally who enjoyed Craig's run was always very enthousiastic about the DB5.
I think that's the thing: if they're giving cars to the production and promoting it too, and it's a brand association which works really well for both of them (not just in terms of advertising but just straight branding- their values match up perfectly and tell us about the character of Bond, as well as the classiness of AM), then there's not much reason to change it.

I enjoyed the DB5 in Craig's run. Its by far my favourite car of the series.
But I think the new Bond should have a new(ish) Aston. The homages in Craig's films are fine where they belong.
Yeah I tend to agree that it's maybe time to move the whole series forward and not bring back any old stuff. I have liked him driving his old Aston though- it does sort of align with Fleming's Bond driving his old Bentleys (even if the DB5 is worth quite a bit more today than those were in the 50s! :) ).
I think if the new Bond drives an AM we haven't seen it yet: I would imagine they'll do a CR and launch the car in the film.

I would LOVE to see the return of the Z8 as Bond's personal car and the newest Aston as his company car, but I don't think the Z8 will happen.
As an equivalent to BookBond's original Bentley it would kind of follow on: twenty years old; big, unnecessary engine; slightly more cruisery than out-and-out sportscar; and a convertible. Just get a battleship grey one and have it modded a bit and it would kind of work :D
I agree though it's probably time to move on from the DB5.
Unfortunately I doubt Aston Martin would be happy if BMW was back in the series. A return to the Z8 would probably have to involve a new deal with BMW where he ends up in a new 8 Series.
If we are to stick with Aston, which is most likely, I'd like to see the 1969 DBS make a return, or maybe even the 2002 Vanquish.
I think if you use an older car it doesn't necessarily mean a collaboration with the brand- like the older Maserati or Toyota in NTTD. But then again we also got the old Aston/Land Rover etc.
NTTD is car-crazy.
The Vanquish could be cool, or maybe the Ian Callum updated version. Although I wonder if a lot of folk wouldn't even know it was an old model: the new ones probably don't look much different to a lot of people! :)
I doubt Aston cared about the Land Cruiser in NTTD. It's not like they have an alternative offering for an old SUV.
The only mark I have against using old Bond cars is that they seem to overshadow the new cars. No one ever talks about the DB10.
Well I don't think Aston expect to have the monopoly on being the only cars in the movie - there's a lot of Jaguar Land Rover stuff in NTTD.
I don't know, I could see Bond taking to one of these. Although, I agree with you, taking a look at the interior, it's all a bit extravagant.
This really is the only Bentley of them all I like the look of though.
