  • And Tom Cruise was driving that train for real. That's commitment.

I love that they could have done it with a model (after all, there's not much wrong with the model shot in Back To The Future 3 where the same thing happens) but just didn't :D

The Back To The Future stunt popped into my head as well. That still looks pretty great.

This is amazing though, and for me, knowing without a shadow of a doubt that they actually just chucked a full-size carriage off a cliff will undoubtedly make it even more visceral on the big screen.

In film history it recalls Buster Keaton and The General (1926), based on a US Civil War (spy) story. And its own train crash, done for real.

You'd be surprised at how often even the professionals forget to turn over!

    8?

It's film shoots for the next instalment, which has now (or for the time being) been scrapped.
  • The only question is what’s a steam train doing in 2021? Lol

I love those old trains. But it does beg the question. It’s not exactly 1964 with Frankenheimer’s THE TRAIN (set during WWII).

I'm kind of looking forward to this more than NTTD, but I think part of that is I'm not sure I entirely believe I'll ever see NTTD! :D

I'm way more hyped for these next two installments than I am for NTTD (though still looking forward to seeing it eventually).

Yeah, I guess part of that is the hype can't be sustained over this amount of time so we're all probably a bit less excited about NTTD than we should be. But the MI films are also excellent and pretty much guaranteed to deliver.

Has anyone noticed that the two most recent MI films on streaming are available but at a premium ? Come on, the dang monthly bill already is high without adding a service and/or paying additional prices for specific films !

Depends where you are I guess: in the UK Rogue Nation is on Sky/NOW. Fallout isn't at the moment I think, but it seems to come and go from Netflix.

This site is really useful for seeing where you can watch films: https://www.justwatch.com/

It clearly has something to do with Thomas the tank engine being
exposed as a rogue agent. ;)
