MI:1 Ethan interrogates the russian mobster.
MI:2 The Airplane crash/Ethan climbing the mountain.
MI:3 The interrogation scene with Davian.
MI:4 Prison escape.
So what do you think about the first track?
Quick review about the first track:
It reminds me a bit of David Arnold's "African Rundown" from "Casino Royale". It has plentiful of Moroccon-esque percussion, though it lacks a clear distinctive melody, but it does have a lot of pace/rhytmn changes. It's purely an action track, and for that it should be very effective when you see the film on the big screen.[/quote]
I agree. It recalls African Rundown but still has notes of the MI sound. It's very action oriented and exciting and should heighten tge experience of the action scene.

Absolutely stunning posters. Love them. Just one question: Why releasing those so damn late! Promotion-wise it's not a very good call. Next week has already the premiere of the film...

Some quotes, which confirmed my guesses:
I'm asking myself: Could this 5th film be the most intelligent, slightly darker one of the franchise? Could it be the best one to date? Well, I will find out on August 8th, when the film premieres here in Spain ;-). But it looks like the answers to those questions will be "Yes!"
Better than "great action" and "perfect entertainment", which both sound dull and uninspiring. It seems, also "Mission: Impossible" gets the "become darker-treatment", like the Bond films have experienced the past decade :-).
Yes, I think M:I gets the getting-darker treatment. I hope that trend dies very soon. I have no use for depressing pictures.
I think the author didn't wrote that review to show off his vocabulary skills. I don't get it why people get "hot-tempered" when someone is using a bit of elitist language, when overall the review is simply raving and shouting "5 stars!" for this film. That latter fact should not be forgotten. Henceforward I will most definately see this film ;-).
For those of you in the US with digital movie collections, here's an opportunity to get the first 4 Mission Impossible films for free. Follow the links posted in the thread below.

I believe you will need a ParamountMovies.com and UlraViolet account (if you dont have them already).

I must say, I'm starting to become more and more an "M:I"-fan as well:

Maybe I didn't read it thoroughly enough but the only time this reviewer mentions Bourne is in the title of his review. The fact that he has to name drop Bond and Bourne in the title says it all. He maybe looking forward to MI more so than SP which is fair enough but to say the series is the best ongoing action/spy series is a joke.

Very nice. The film sounds like it's going to be great. Will be catching this by week's end. Glad to hear how great Cruise is and how he's a credible action star who seems to be getting better. This is all good competition to keep Bond on his toes and to keep Craig in the role for as long as possible.
