What immediately struck me seeing this was the Moore film 'The man that haunted himself'!

Is that an @RC7 original? Regardless, the orange and white color palette is brilliant!

    It is. Thanks!
  • Nice poster @RC7 Much better than the one the marketing department came up with.

You should post your work more often in these threads, mate. You've got a nice visual eye.

Nice colour @RC7. Have you colourised a black & poster? It certainly gives DC more colour in his face! Every time ANYTHING is added to the original poster, it's just far superior to the original miserable effort!

That's because for some reason, those behind the teasers didn't think to include any elements of visual interest to the layout like so many of our talented graphic artists have.

Cheers! Wish I could do more, but I have so little time these days. Got a couple of hours free earlier today so though I'd have a crack. I might try and put a bit more time aside to tinker over the coming months.

I've pulled out some warm tones in the original image, I also made DC's eyes brighter to offset the orange with a little hint of the bright blue.

That's exactly what I've been saying in another thread here, you need the eye and the idea, not just Photoshop

New logo for my blog at BeyondJamesBond.kinja.com

It is tiny on site so the resolution isn't spectacular.. but I'm quite proud of it.

While these aren't fan posters I couldn't find an appropriate thread and I didn't feel it necessary to create a new one. Anyhow, I thought I'd share a couple of pics of my semi-recent Bond art.

At my wedding in December I named all the tables after Fleming novels. The books were left in a bookcase with the chapter titles replaced by the guests names. I made a series of sculpture/models inspired by the books (particularly Chopping, with a slight hint of the films) to be part of the centre-piece of the table.

I'm sure this has been asked often, but what applications are used to create these wonderful concepts?

Ha ha, cheers. I love all the cover art and it seemed ripe for the ideas I had.

This was the only strictly filmic reference...

I did it specifically for my 7 year old cousin. I gave him a small gift box inside which was a watch. He didn't realise until he put it on and turned the face that it controlled the DB5 and he drove it off the sculptured base and around the table. Needless to say he spent the next hour or two navigating glasses of wine and spirits.

That's quite cool, @RC7, and kudos to your partner for allowing you such freedom with the entire concept. Are they a Bond fan as well?

Let's just say she's tolerant. We have Bond posters hanging in our house, so I guess she can't mind it too much. It was actually quite subtle really, the main theme was Art Deco in design, so I made the little sculptures to blend in. I didn't want it to be Bond-themed as such, just little touches of it here and there.

That sounds like a really nice aesthetic compromise.
