A couple of years back there was a very argumentative person (who names himself after a gun) on AJB who tried to tell me that they only used the four foot model for the filming and nothing else. I showed him that first photo with the hand very clearly above it showing the scale of the model, and he tried to tell me that the water was somehow distorting the scale and making the model look much smaller :))
For all I know, Barbara Bach called James Bond a chauvinist pig (it's also one of the reasons why she refused to return in AVTAK), she hated the Bond character.
But she had nothing against Moore, in fact she's one of who gave tributes when Moore died.

I think she shouldn't say that though, it's the film that kick started her career (although that didn't last long), but still one that made her famous, she's cast at the time despite of her being just a model and without any acting experience (Catherine Deneuve wanted the role of Anya so badly that she proposed to reduce her salary, but Cubby rejected her and cast Bach), so I think if Bach didn't liked the character, she should've kept her mouth shut, because also the character had never done anything wrong to her.
And she did auditioned to the role (actually opting for a minor character), but Cubby cast her in a leading lady role.
Some more:
It's got Michael Lonsdale minus beard, and Richard Kiel and Blanche Ravalec appear to be holding hands.
I would say that Bond films are likely fun, but hard work to pull off.
Yes if anything we know that Connery was hating it, but people tend to smile for photos! :)
Saw some behind the scenes photos of Casino Royale, it's seemed like Craig and the cast was also having a good time.
And yes, even to the later films, everyone was also having their good time.
If there's anything that I can say, the rest of the Behind the scenes of the James Bond films were they're all having a good time, except the Connery Era, I think, sure, they smile, but not as fun as the behind the scenes happenings in the other Bond actors' era.
I think Connery was a bit boring to worked with too.
Wait until you see the Daltons ;)
I think as we saw in this thread, there were just as many photos of smiling faces, but I wouldn't take that as representative of anything. Neither should it matter, should it? I like people to enjoy their work but it doesn't necessarily make it a better film.

Good one, @echo! :-D
And also probably the Best of the Moore Era Bond Girls (the most capable, intelligent, tough, competent, and beautiful).
One of my favorite Bond Girls.
A great addition to the series.
I commend Lois for bringing what she did to the role! She makes it a better character than what was written.
She's tough and competent, and it's not the rivalry, but a competition on who could've get to Drax and gather information and succeed to their mission.
Both have the same aim, same goal, and Holly Goodhead just happened to be always a step ahead of Bond (she's the first one to infiltrate Drax's facility, she's the first one to get to Brazil), meanwhile Bond was always late, she's more believable as a spy, and she's purely professional, so the depth wasn't that much needed (it's also the same with Wai Lin).
She's independent in that she had her own moves on how to complete her mission, she doesn't even need Bond's help, let alone depending on Bond to accomplish her mission.
Bond became antagonistic to her because he had the thought of Holly working with Chang, as it's also the coincidences that where's Holly, there's also Chang.
She's the first Wai Lin, long before Wai Lin came, and probably much more of an interesting character than Wai Lin, because Wai Lin was just fights and fights, with Holly, there's this trust issues of Bond of whether she's to be trusted or not.
Anya would've been better as another Tatiana Romanova, but not a well trained Military agent, she couldn't even fight for her own life and she's very dependent to Bond.
I liked the Russian Agent vs. British Agent rivalry concept, but I felt the film didn't executed it well, because Anya herself wasn't even worthy of Bond's rival.
Interesting that Victor Tourjansky stayed in character when not filming.
Yes, you've read it right 😅
Think of how she fought those men in the shuttle, man, she kicked their ass and punched them, it even made Bond impressed.
She said that she had learned it in the Vassar (?)
And her poisonous pen syringe also saved Bond's life from a python.
How many Bond Girls are physically tough? I mean those who could kick ass?
Pussy Galore, Tracy, Holly Goodhead, Wai Lin, and Paloma, okay, there's Jinx, maybe Camille too, (although when it comes to punches and kicks, only a few of them would qualify, and Holly is up there).
"My father worked for the military junta. He was a very cruel man... but he was my father. When I was a small child the opposition sent General Medrano to our house. He shot my father. He did things to my mother and my sister and then strangled them while I watched. I was too young to be any trouble, so he just smiled at me and set the house on fire. He left his mark."....
I'd say she was not only trained but, through experience and her own personal history, was one tough customer.
I can't disagree with that.
As I've watched TSWLM more and more over the years, I've come to the conclusion that Barbara Bach's "acting" really brings the film down. While still a worse film overall, Lois actually elevates her role in MR (IMO).
Man, it's not just the acting.
The premise about her was pretty clear, she's made out to be Bond's equal, a well trained Military Agent, the problem was, we didn't saw it, the film never showed her full capabilities.
She's just kinda.....there, she drove a van in Egypt and that's all, the rest was her being passive and standing beside Bond, depending on him all the time.
If that's the case, then better for the film not to give her such a background like that, I'm fine with her being a Tatiana Romanova or Tilly Masterson type of character (a woman who wants a revenge against the man responsible for her boyfriend's death), but a well trained Military agent? She's not believable in that, and I don't buy her as this well trained KGB/Military agent.
She's pretty weak and incompetent for such an agent, just remove that agent part and I'm okay with it, she's not even professional either.
