Scrolling down, it looks like you're a fellow REM fan, too!
That's the one Qbranch! A nice little novel thing!
I picked them up from a company called "Prop Store of London." They and a number of other companies have a relationship with the studio's down there. The day I picked up the Sub machine gun. The guy who owns the business took me around his warehouse. OMG it was like the end scene of "Raiders of the lost Ark."
The two highlights for me was the Aston Martin seats which he used in his office. Can't recall which film they were from? But the show stopper for me was one of the shells of the Q_Boat from TWINE! Now remember that this is still a shell? He said if he were to sell? As it was in his collection, it would start from £45,000.00 at least!
I bought these props well over 15 to 20 years ago. Price wise all those years ago?
Sean Bean's stunt gun was £600.00
Goldie's stunt gun was £900.00
Brilliant and priceless investment to me. No idea what they are worth now? The Prop store use to appear a lot at the Memorabilia show at the NEC. However they haven't for a long while now as I think their stalls have risen in price steeply!
Thank you! They really are great talking points when they are on show.
Yes I am.
It will be like Scaramanga's fun house!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
Will you have your own personal midget who is a culinary wizard with Tabasco and fried mushrooms ?
Well I have two step kids that are shorter than me so that is a possibility? They will have to be interviewed! Lol!
The bottom shelf is big books and magazines, next shelf is continuation novels and movie tie-I paperbacks.
Next up is the Centenary Editions, then above those is the US paperbacks and three first editions, (the last three Bond books). Above that, 50's & 60's Pan paperbacks and Book Club hardbacks, (and the new Vintage hardbacks, Goldfinger arrived today).
The DVDs, separated by the toy Lotus. ('classic series' on the left, 'contemporary series' on the right).
And the top shelf, all the soundtracks. And on the right, some old VHS 'big box' ex rental shop videos I just couldn't get rid of, because I remember hiring the current Bond films back in the mid-eighties.
It's from around the time the film was released, possibly? Looks great!
Nice I have a few steel plaques though not a Bond plaque, great find. Well I have a OP plaque though it's modern.
I made this up a few weeks back.
Bought this last year.
I don't think my find is as old as it looks - it's just been in the wars!
How cool is that!!
Very nice find! You're right, the scuff marks lend the piece a rather cool "antique" quality.
Cool artwork on that Octopussy tin, and I like how you framed the Daltons. I have a very cool A View to a Kill poster that features two of the poster artworks in one. This one:
@Agent_99 and @Some_Kind_Of_Hero I enjoy framing I picked up the two Dalton post cards for £5 and the frame for £10 they are two films that are the most fitting to be displayed together. Most of the prints I have I have framed or re framed myself it's a hobby of sorts.
@Some_Kind_Of_Hero Love the AVTAK poster, I have a few Sir Roger prints framed I did in tribute to him, a MR and a LALD both without lettering.
Poster Art today is not a patch on the old Bond/Movie posters.
They are beautiful. I highly recommend this book if you can get hold of it - full of wonderful official posters as well as advertising etc:
I don't own that book though have looked through it, agree it's very good.
I have that book, it's great. But how odd is the foreign TWINE poster with the random guy behind prison bars?!
