About the same place as I stand with George Osborne as Chancellor the Exchequer ie Quelle Horreur!!
The Bond connections really are quite spooky.
Anyway, back to the Olympics.

I've seen that some above aren't scoring correctly. Following @St_George's model of points descending 10-8-7-5-4-3-2-1 should be used, and not 10-8-7-6-4-3-2 as I've seen.

So, for all you bean-counters out there (oh ho-de-ho-ho), he's done it; Sean Bean's come top of the tree, peeps. But only just. Yes, as the head of Janus, Bean's Alec Trevelyan may be fond of looking back as well as forwards, but he only had eyes for getting ahead here, for by a mere 10 points he's bested Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre to win the gold, whom has to settle for a silver then - but is surely a very worthy runner-up.
Elsewhere, Sophie Marceau's sultry villainess Elektra gives Jespen Christensen a complex by beating him to the bronze, while her partner-in-crime, Robert Carlyle's Renard, takes a comfortable fifth place. And filling the last three places are Mathieu Amalric, Jonathan Pryce and - surely one of the least surprising recipients of a wooden spoon in this entire tournament - Toby Stephens.

For England, Beanster? Well, his character's motives may most certainly have not been for the country of his birth, but Sean Bean's victory here stretches England's lead on the table yet further (and Toby Stephens' single point does the same, of course - if to a far lesser extent). The most dramatic beneficiary of tonight's results, however, are Denmark, whose second and fourth places ensure the Scandinavians leap straight into joint seventh place. That's worth a celebratory bacon roll surely.
Also having done well are France, who (with a third and a sixth place) leapfrog Italy, Canada, Brazil, Germany and Scotland to go fourth, while Scotland themselves (thanks to a welcome fifth place) get ahead of most of that pack to go joint fifth with Italy. Oh, and that seventh place-finish for Wales ensures the red dragon's still roaring in an impressive third place.
Event 7 coming right up, folks...! :)
The competitors:
John Barry (DN, FRWL, GF, TB, YOLT, OHMSS, DAF, TMWTGG, MR, OP, AVTAK, TLD)
Burt Bacharach (CR '67)

Marvin Hamlisch (TSWLM)
Bill Conti (FYEO)
Michel Legrand (NSNA)
Michael Kamen (LTK)
Eric Serra (GE)
David Arnold (TND, TWINE, DAD, CR, QOS)
So, the task is simple... please arrange your choice of eight competitors from the nine above into your favoured ordering - first to last (greatest to least) in terms of their contribution to the cinematic James Bond.
Voting for this event should remain open for about a week, after which the results and the updated Medal Table will be posted in this thread (as well as in the thread's opening post).
Oh, and just a reminder - when you do vote, please vote in this manner, chaps (as outlined in the thread's opening post); makes it a hell of a lot easier for me when I'm totting up the totals... ;)
