    I thought of License To Kill immediately. I mean there's Robert Davi to begin with, a great nasty adversary for Bond who takes pleasure in feeding people's legs to sharks and blowing up heads in decompression chambers, and his sidekick Benicio Del Toro, really menacing in an early appearance, and other noteworthies such as Everett McGill and even Don Stroud to name but a few. It was my first thought of choice and I see no real reason to change it, Bond bad guys and adversaries have been not above crap for the last few years, sorry to say

    I think Actonsteve was merely trying to emphasize his point in showing his distaste for the Alan Cumming character, all I can add is that Grishenko was a bit of a lame character and was added just for some comic relief, I remember at the time of first viewing in 1995 I was slightly surprised with his turn into a bad guy from after his first few scenes, did he really deserve to die though, there have been worse Bond bad types who have got away scot free for whatever mischief they may have been involved with

    Yes, I realize his anger, I just don't understand his need for that kind of language. I could rant all day about how much I dislike Goldfinger, but I wouldn't go around posting that word to prove my point. There are other means of proving points than to use such bad language. No offense to you though, I realize you didn't do anything!

    Oddly enough before this, I was reading the 'Craig swearing and using colorful metaphors' thread with regards to an interview he did with someone of all things

    People need to realize that sometimes an individual rightly or wrongly from anyones perspective does get irritated in the heat of the moment and such instances will occur, not saying it's right or wrong but there you are. I've come close myself on many an occasion but averted simply on the basis that I try to adhere to forum rules, can be difficult sometimes such as when we discuss Moore in some of his latter films or some choices of Bond theme intros or something else where a difference of opinion may occur, just keep calm and rethink and all that, there's no sense in lashing out

    Time for bed I think I-) , sleeping is better than swearing any day of the week

    In my opinion, Thunderball and From Russia With Love had the best villains, while Thunderball and Goldfinger had the best evil plots by the villains.

    Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, Moonraker, Octopussy, Licence To Kill and GoldenEye all have great villains.

    That was the talk, from August. It was all about Myers apparently showing interest in another film but of course, not enough to get any kind of deal done it seems. The last time he did that it was 2008.

    @Samuel001: I can see every other choice except TMWTGG and MR. Definitely not trying to criticize, just asking. Did you like these villains a whole lot? I didn't particularly like them, the only good ones were the main villains Scaramanga and Drax. The henchmen weren't very good in my opinion, especially Nick Nack and Jaws. Cheesy!

    TSWLM (yes, Jaws ...)
    L&LD (creepy)
    DAF (Wint and Kidd, really; memorable)
    Goldeneye - a solid group, interesting enough

    They're the only reason I named those films, due to Scaramanga and Drax. Many films, have a good villain or two but very few have a great cast of villains, so maybe I shouldn't have named The Man With The Golden Gun and Moonraker.

    Christopher Walken in VTAK - shooting his own goons and laughing maniacally. Best part of the film and pure Bond villain evil.

    I think that was one reason why Roger Moore has never been that fond of AVTAK - the violence. I'd love to know what he thought of LTK.

    There was violence in A View To A Kill?, I must have missed it, probably took a back seat to Roberts constant screaming or silly Moore humor, it's one of the most tamest Bond adventures in living memory, Dalton brought back some of the seriousness and hard edgedness that was seriously lacking particularly in his second outing

    GF (Goldfinger, Oddjob, Solo, Chinese Communists)
    DAF (Blowers, Wint and Kidd, Metz, Morton Slumber, Shady Tree, Mrs Whistler, The Hoods, Bambi and Thumper, Klaus 'God' Hergesheimer)
    LALD (Kananga/ Mr Big, Tee Hee, Baron Samedi, Rosie Carver, Whisper, Dambala, The Taxi Driver, Kananga's Goons, Albert the Crocodile)
    GE (Trevelyan, Xenia Onatopp, Ourumov, Boris Grishenko, Trevelyan's Private Army)
    CR (Le Chiffre, Mr White, Dimitrios, Obanno, Gettler, Mollaka, Obanno's Sidekick, Dryden, Fisher)

    And, methinks, I'd have to award top spot to CR - not only is it crawling with villains, they're all total b*******, none of whom seem to contain a redeemable bone in their body. For me, they - and thus the threat they offer 007 throughout - is one of the reasons why CR is such a damn fine Bond film...
