We're just waiting on the BBFC now. Hopefully confirmation will arrive tomorrow.

2 hours 20 minutes would make it joint second longest.

I hope this is the running time @marketto007! ;)

@DarthDimi, my thoughts exactly. I'll occasionally come across a 140-150 minute + film that really drags, but with Bond films, it truly lets them grow and develop at a nice pace.

It's 145 minutes! Skyfall got its rating in South Korea today (15, similar to PG-13) and this is the capture image of the film rating institution website. As you can see the number on the right colum, it says the running time is 145 mins and it's perfect for me :)

a cinema in Guadelope has a running time of 1hour45mins...

Only 69 seconds shorter than the longest Bond film, Casino Royale.

2 hours 23 minutes! Wow, it almost takes the record. Let's hope all this time is used wisely.

At last, it is confirmed. Only two weeks now, people!

Casino Royale is listed as 2 hours and 19 minutes. Doesen't that make CRs running length 139 minutes?

  • One use of strong language? Are we getting the f-word in a Bond film?

Said by Bond? I sure hope so, he said it in the novels so why not?

It would make sense but I doubt Eon would do that. It'll probably be the villain.

143 - 145, i'm very happy with either. For me, QoS had the kiss of death on it even before i saw it for the first time. Just over 90 minutes is way to short for a Bond film, and its running time was at the back of my mind all the way through, so it felt even more rushed. I hoped that Skyfall would be at least 2 hours 10/15 mins, so, this is brilliant news:-)

Excellent news! This is the sort of runtime i was hoping for after a 4 year gap! :D Roll on 2 weeks today to the main event itself! <:-P

    No need for that, newbie.

Two hours for any film not directed by David Lean is ideal.
  • Good length. Pleased its not going to be a rush job!
  • The audience might use the F-word if the film drags.

Why do you think the film will be a long time then? :))

Didn't know there was an expanded version of Last of the Mohicans until you mentioned it. I wonder how much longer the new version will be? Hopefully it'll be the 3 hr version that Mann was forced to cut by the studios.

I don't mind expanded versions so long as the additional scenes add something that was needed to the movie. I hate these so-called Director Cuts that actually end up shorter or with only 4 added minutes.
I´m still waiting for it to be delivered, but it´s not a 3h version... It´s not an extended version. It´s called director´s cut version or something, and it is from around the year 2000. It´s about 3-4min longer than the theatrical version, and it´s more of a re-cut, because some bits even seem to be not in it. It gets quite some flak from amazon customers, but since I have a weak spot for Michael Mann films unlike the common amazonist, I ordered it, half out of curiosity.
And I´m hoping the music track doesn´t drone out, a problem which I experienced on several German dvds of the theatrical version.
