    Had 3 amazing trailers before Prometheus today @BFI IMAX.They were TDKR,Spiderman and Skyfall.All 3 I want too see.

    Aw, I wish they showed it when I went to see it. They did show Batman and Django Unchained though, which was awesome.

    Article ranks the title sequences. Madonna's Die Another Day is 9th, so I didn't bother reading the rest of the list. Potentially the worst Bond theme song gets ranked in the top 10 = I don't care about the rest.

    Nice to hear but it's a little hard to believe that a script for a film that will be half filled with action is powerful. Sounds like it'll have more substance than previous outings though or atleast recent ones.

    Could be half, but we don't know, how long most action scenes gonna be. I believe the first rate actors they have in tis, will have something to act on...

    I'd be surprised if this was the best Bond ever but I'm sure it'll be one of the better ones. Not all those reasons do it for me. What I do believe will contribute is the cinematography, lighting, locations, the story, and acting talent. Quite a few reasons. What always puts me off the post Dalton era Bond flicks though are that they have more action (too much action) than the films of the pre Brosnan era and in terms of Skyfall, going by interviews, a script that sounds like it will be too lighthearted and humourous for a Craig Bond film. Following Craig's departure, by all means veer away from the more Flemingsque tone and content and return to the comedy fests.

    This is 3/4 there already. And best Bond film ever - what is that anyway? Something different for everybody...I'll be happy, if it goes down as a great Bond film, that matches CR in its popularity.

    Yeah, there are a few good reasons. I just don't think it'll be the best Bond ever for me obviously, but at the same this is alot to hope for. One of the many things I dislike about the Brosnan films is that there is a real lack of consistency. Dark one minute, almost slapstick the next. They're too schizophrenic. The makers tried too hard to pander to everyone's tastes and this is why they just don't work, with the exception of Goldeneye maybe which does have more of a consistent pattern to it than it's three successors. In terms of this, I hope Skyfall doesn’t fall into this trap.

    People have blown this humor thing WAAAAY out of proportion. From the leaked call sheets and such which I've read the humor is nothing to be worried about. No doble taking pigeons here, folks. For example: (spoilers ahead proceed with caution)
    -M asking Bond "Why didn't you call?" (during his disappearance) and him responding "You didn't get the postcard?"

    -When she tells Bond his flat has been sold while he's been thought to be dead he mentions he'd better go find a hotel, and M says "Well you're bloody well not sleeping here."

    -Q explaining to Bond that Silva has safeguards on his computer that wipe the memory if certain files are attempted to be accessed. Bond asks if he can get past them. Q responds with "I invented them."

    -Silva on the train during the underground chase sits across from a teenager playing loud music on his headphones. He stares at him tells him to get up so that the old lady can have a seat.

    Couldn't resist reading these. Okay, this is good humour. The second and last one are the funniest I think. Still, I don't want there to be any more humour than there is in Casino Royale.

    Ordinarily, I'd be a bit annoyed about what has been revealed in the second dialogue extract but since we haven't seen nor heard any reference regarding Bond's pad in the Craig era anyway, I'm alright with it.

    You think that just because a film has some action in it then it can't be powerful? There's tons of films that break that, as will Skyfall. Just wait until you see it. It's going to rock your world, and I can say I told you so soon.

    Well, here's hoping you're right. 'The Assignment', an excellent film starring Aidan Quinn, Donald Sutherland and Ben Kingsley is a good example of a movie with action aswell as a fairly powerful script. It puts character movement before action which the Bond films have never done. It's not as action heavy as the Bond films but still has a healthy amount. This is why I'm sceptical.

    Every single Bond film could be the best one ever, you never know until it's released.

    Judging from the cast and the trailer I'm looking forward to it, it'll probably be good, but I've heard some things I DON'T like the sound of, like M focused plot, younger Q, etc.

    It'll probably be good but I don't think it'll be the best one ever, at least for me (then again I don't think anything will top Dalton's films for me), but like I said, you never know.

    Also, I don't get that article, how can IMAX help make it the best one ever? The third time lucky rule has only been true for Connery and Moore. Brosnans 3rd film was good but his best was easily GE, and Dalton and Lasenby didn't even do 3. How can the DB5 make it the best one ever? GF had that and I don't think it's the best. The only thing I agree with on that list is the A list cast.

    I think this level of hype for SF, with so many saying "it'll be the best one ever!" could potentially make it a bit of a let down. I'm not saying it won't be good, but any film has a hard job of living up to this level of hype. Look at Prometheus, it was brilliant, but it didn't live up to the massive hype because the hype was just that, massive, so to a lot of people it was a let down. I have the same worry about the new Batman film.
