Sure everyone likes the stay true to the original Bond Themes & Scores for the Bond Fan in them... BUT you have to realize if someone is a fan of another style of music, it may influence their Bond Music Opinions as well... (WHICH ISNT A BAD THING PEOPLE)
There is no MAJORITY RULES in MUSIC, ART or FILM... it's all OPINION BASED.
No right or Wrong answers!
You have the the stubborn, (Thats how it was when I was younger and I hate change) attitude. Then you have the next generation whos influences were in the 90s as a kid....(i don't like "old stuff" mentality) so god knows what they could come up with. And lastly, you have the obscurity minded people which are more open-mined to change, even if they dont like it.
Tired. It's 3AM here, so I should stop ranting. Theres my input if it was legible, haha.
I happen to live in Indiana, USA, and don't know where Broadmoor is (I can only assume somewhere on the edge of the UK). And, be rude all you want, you'll never change my opinion just as I won't change yours (nor will I try, and I hope you don't either).
"Sweet! Like money!"
Hahaha, John McClane! Yes indeed!
Just because you use capital letters doesn't mean it is a rant. The simple fact is that everyone here knows that opinions will differ and most let other members become entitled to them. And while I appreciate a lot of Bond films for what they are, I will never show that to any of the campy films that trash the character's cold hearted mentality, and DAD only serves as a lesson when a Bond film goes too far and is helmed by an unworthy crackpot director. Thanks but no thanks, but I'll show my appreciation for Bond when the character is done right. I grade the films on story and the characterization of Bond and how closely Fleming's Bond influenced the films, and a film will not get a pass for simply being entertaining. That isn't enough anymore, and has never been enough for me. It's just like a Michael Bay Transformers film, where it is action and explosions over story and characterization. He has pulled this time and time again, but since moviegoers care less and less about truly brilliant films, Bay's films get cash out the rear only because of their entertaining appeal to people. So because common moviegoers today care less and less about the brilliant storytelling and depth in characters that made the very movie magic cinema is built upon. And because of this Bay gets to call himself a 'director' and sit on the same bench as Scorsese, Coppola, Hitchcock, Nolan, Eastwood, and so many brilliant others. It sickens me to the bone.
you just made me think of something, if you haven't heard of Michael Bay's new version of TMNT look it up, but wonder what his version of a Bond movie would be... haha
I'd sign Lee Tamahori on for an indefinate number of films before I'd watch a Michael Bay Bond film ;)
Although in fairness Bay did direct The Rock - a cracking thriller with Sir Sean. That was back when he was relitively decent.
It's more than that. It's out on 27th June 2014!
We'd be on the verge of soft core porn :))
Hopefully starring Megan Fox (they can overdub the voice).
I doubt it. Apparently she can't stand MB.
Well she stood up to him and didn't take his misogynist (I'm using that word a lot lately) fueled BS because she let it be known he rules like a tyrant on set and that he made her try on the movie's outfits all in front of him and the cast. If I saw the pig in public I'd be paying some hospital bills that coming week, I guarantee you that.
I did say "hopefully". Besides, I bet she'd do it for money.
=)) =)) :-))
Hmm...motorcycles jumping over helicopters. Where have I seen that before?
Why can't Bond be both??? Why can't he bleed, and get bruised and make mistakes, but also crack the odd one liner and use a gadget or two??? That's my dream bond. The closest I got was LTK.
Have you read the books? LOL
My opinion was also controversial, and I've been awake for over 36 hours, it was all probably just a coffee-induced rant, as I've been rattling them off to my family for awhile now.
That's my ideal Bond as well @thelivingroyale
OHMSS, FYEO, & LTK are best for that sort of thing!
In a word: no.
I´m just a movie Bond fan. And no offense to Fleming fans, but my honest opinion is that Bond is supposed to be like Moore (and Brosnan & Connery to a certain degree). I enjoy films like LTK also, especially the gadgets and Q. Dalton gives a fine performance, but I prefer films like MR. I still watch the more serious movies quite often and enjoy them, but not as much as the lighter ones.
About the bleeding thing, I don´t despise the slightest but I prefer the more impeccable Bond that Roger often portrayed.
