Hello, ladies and gents, one and all. I have long wanted these Awards to kick off, and finally got the go ahead from @DarthDimi to lead the thread, and lay out all the rules. The way I see it, what we'll do is trickle down Awards categories to a good number that everyone wants to see, and then we will one by one take a category, poll for nominees, and place those that get the most votes into the final picking of that category. Members will then vote once again in that category to pick the winner of that individual award, and we'll operate as such for all the categories we agree upon. Some categories will be easier to vote for than others. Picking a Moore fan is easy, but picking just one moment out of say, the best Bond announcement of the year will be varied in some respects, but we'll have to see how it all works out.

Without further ado, I came up with a few categories that could potentially make it into the official awards. I am calling on all the fantastic members here on MI6 to lend a helping hand and choose which ones should stay and which should go, as well as giving feedback on possible new category ideas, suggestions on how to operate this, and so on.

Like I said, feel free to help me narrow down the ones that belong and the ones that should hit the road, and don't be afraid to give some ideas as to more categories or how to operate these 1st Annual MI6 Community Awards. Your help is much appreciated. ;)

    I agree with biggest Dalton, but I have never heard of @GeorgeLazenby on here before. I'd personally go with @TheWizardOfIce.

    I was thinking if we could have a "biggest FRWL fan" type of award for each movie, but that might be too much and too hard. And are we getting one vote for each award, or is it like three poins to Mr.X, two points to Mr.Y and one point to Mr.Z?

    IIRC from past awards, we had a different thread (a poll in each thread) for each award, but no more than two threads going at the same time (otherwise we'll be swamped in threads). After a week the two threads are closed, and the next two open. There'll be one winner for each award, with the list of wiinners added to this thread at the end.

    A classic award for this website : best Brosnan basher. Luds has won this award every year since 2002.

    Love this - I will think of something more constructive soon, to contribute. Just want to say one of the funniest posts has to be the accidentally misinformed statement about Bond possibly sleeping with Ola Rapace in Skyfall (before the writer, and many of us, knew Ola was a man). Ha!

    That seems to be a good idea. This thread can be for formulating the categories, and then other threads for each category. We could use separate threads to get nominees too. If we only use this one thread it could get cluttered very fast. Any thoughts from the mods??

    Thank you all for the feedback thus far. If a mod ever wants to step in and call the category polling good we can move on to the nomination process. Quality over quantity. I don't want to have too many categories here, but the important ones that will be successful at the polls. How many categories are there usually, considering the past awards?

    Good idea, remove the 'basher' awards and we should be good to go. Without them, we've got 24 awards, a good even number.
