They are a turgid team and should've been knocked out numerous times before now but they never gave Ajax a sniff. Superbly drilled performance.
All these clowns like Wenger and Pep with their 'styles of play' and 'philosophies' take note. It's winning that counts.
Jose still the guvnor tactically for me.
In tears special moment
In the end Jose gambled though he made the right decision, winning any trophy is a time to celebrate. This match tonight transcended football.
Nobody does mate.
He's won 2 trophies.
True winning is all that matters
Do you think that Mourinho will go for a more attacking approach when he gets new players in for next season?
I hope so for periods this season United were more expansive though Jose reverted to default more often than not, now we are in the Champions League group stage we should attract the likes of Griezman.
Jose's CV is not too shabby.
I'd worry about your own lot, on the slide from where I'm sitting.
On a separate note? I see we have a new Manager finally! Better get on the website and learn some more shortly!
Well congratulations to ManU. Now try to make it to the round of 16 in the CL next year which I think is more difficult.
But scoring a lucky goal an then defending deep against a team worth 1/6 (probably less actually) of your own is a work of genius, don't you see? So is scraping through ties against European powerhouses such as Anderlecht and Celta Vigo. It truly shows what a tactical genius Jose is. I suggest you worry about your own team before you question that!
Lovely stuff from Mourinho. Too many fans, managers and pundits who have disappeared right up their own arses. It's about winning. Otherwise, go and put on an exhibition.
I supported Man Utd as the people og Manchester deserved this after the recent tragedy. But I am not buying the notion that this is some stroke og managerial genius...
You're the only one using the word genius. Literally no one else has said that. We're just noting that he got his tactics spot on. United have, bar the odd game, struggled to convince this season. They weren't all of a sudden going to become a lethal force in full flow.
Remind me again what Pocc, Pep and Klopp won?
Nothing wrong with Arsenal's goal. It's a bullshit rule you can be stood in the 6 yard box about to take a swing and you're not offside but thats the rule. Nice one FIFA. Chelsea haven't turned up yet.
I think Chelsea probably over celebrated on JT day, at least we were not subjected to JT day 2.
Now there is some important things to be done. Get the managerial situation sorted. If he stays or not, I hope the reports that next week we'll know is true. Then do all what possibly can be done to keep Sánchez. Buy him a hundred dogs if needed! Lastly, strengthen key places in the team, so we at least can hope to compete with the other top six teams. Statement signings. You see City already has started that.
Still we won the league. The double would've been nice, but I know which I'd rather win.
Would rather have Arsenal winning the PL-trophy, but the FA cup trophy is a good end to the season. Wenger is really a FA cup specialist by now.
You might be waiting for a while on that one. ;)
Well, yes... Too much going on behind the scenes to make an Arsenal fan any confident on finishing first for quite some time. Wenger, the board, Kroenke, sporting director role; the list of issues to resolve is long. One can only hope for some clarity by next weekend, and hopefully, some decent signings over the summer. Without the risk of facing teams like Bayern München in competitions anytime soon, I hope they really put in an effort to win the EL-trophy as well - even though how unpopular that competition is.
