United beat Yeovil Town? Wow! Maybe I underestimated them! This smells of a CL final.

Hardly as it was a fourth round F.A. Cup game, surely you know enough about football to know the CL final in in May.

The art of online sarcasm is usually to write something so outrageous that it is obviously sarcastic. I tried my best... ;)

I would usually defend Liverpool as much as I can, but I can’t defend them after watching that. Shocking performance. Moreno, Mignolet should never wear that shirt again. I would save the money left from Coutinho sale and leave it until the summer. Why bother rushing now to get someone in.

This was a game that included about everything. VAR will get the headlines, but West Brom really outfought Liverpool here. With only days left of the transfer window, what will Klopp do?

Also: Did Evans get an injury late in the game? Possible Arsenal move off?

To be honest, I wouldn’t want any money spent right now. Too much of a rush at end of transfer window.

WBA fully deserved their win tonight, can’t say anything more.

VAR definitely in the spotlight. Yeah, I think Evans got a hamstring injury. Could hamper any move.

When the objective is to qualify for the Champions League, it definitely makes sense to spend the money now. No use having plenty of money to spend in the summer only to be turned down because players would prefer to play in the CL.

Only just watched it on MOTD. Seems like VAR was our best player by far.

Utter shite once again. Obviously he's only had a few matches but can anyone see any difference pre VVD and after?

How much longer can a manager who has no concept of how to defend keep his job? Why is the guy three years in and we're now worse at the back than when he took over? The fact Minger still on the books let alone playing suggests managerial incompetence to me and the goals we ship seems to back it up. Why can Jurgen literally not see it?

If we don't get 4th he's got to be under serious pressure from the off next season.

Can see both sides here. You don't want to go for a rush move getting in a player, at the same time, having all that money not spent is strange.

But then again, I support a club that doesn't handle transfers windows well.

Ouch my Geordi mates won't like that, Sturridge has still got quality barring injuries and having a good run of games.

I thought Inter put an offer on the table but he preferred a move to Sevilla?

    How did that conversation go?

'Sevilla not interested Daniel but Inter are keen. What do you think?

'Give West Brom a bell first just in case.'

I wonder if Sturridge wants to stay on Southgate's radar with the World Cup on the horizon, and that's having a baring on his decision.

I have always wondered why not more Englishmen are keen on the idea of living in sunny, cultural southern Europe? Think of strolling around in Milano's fasion district, enjoying drinks and delightful Trattorias, or tapas and flamenco in flamboyant, sunny Seville with beautiful, Spanish señoritas... and then compare it to foggy Birmingham...

Edit: Even the football is better as well...

    Indeed.

Unless one of the Manchester clubs or a London team were interested why wouldn't you go and live in Milan?

Yeah. If he plays 15 games, scores 10 goals and Kane breaks his leg he might have a sniff of the plane but it's a long shot for a bloke who can't play more than 2 games in a row without 3 months out. Same applies to Wilshere.

It's a World Cup squad not a sanatorium for the terminally ill.

True and there is more competition up front now for England, I still rate Sturridge if he can get fit though he is rivalling Darren Anderton on the treatment table.

Two days to go and not a sniff of any business being done. Another stunning window by FSG.

£75m spunked so the mathematically challenged think we're spending like the big boys but £146m has come in and our most naturally talented striker binned off the wage bill.

So a tidy £70m has gone AWOL into some Yank pockets and we won't be seeing that again.

Even if we spend a bit in the summer it won't be more than the £100m Sky money. All the gate money, commercial earnings and that £70m of Cout money disappearing into a black hole.

    AND STILL NO FUCKING KEEPER.

And to think we joke at how badly Arsenal are run.

It is a shame how football clubs have become toys for wealthy business owners.

For all of Arsenal's problems, I wonder why Liverpool doesn't get criticized the same way. Is the likable personality of Klopp less attackable than Wenger?

Apparently Alex Song is training with Arsenal and a transfer is rumored. I har kind of forgotten about him... :P But if he can replicate the form of his early Arsenal days, he might be just the balancing midfielder they need. But it's a big if, probably...

This is as good as it gets this transfer window! Can't see Wenger addressing the defensive issues before the transfer deadline, so this makes for happy reading!

Everything is OK then. Keep calm and carry on.

Interesting to speculate had the results been reversed yesterday things would be painted as looking positive for Arsenal and it would be Jurgen who's getting it in the neck this morning.

Both clubs have a lot in common actually:

    1. Sold their best player but brought in a big name yet are trying to pass this window off as a good one when all they've done is stand still.
    2. Both let go a striker that didn't play much but nonetheless it still weakens the squad by getting rid yet still we're lied to that this represents a forward trajectory.
    3. Both led by stubborn managers who think their methods are the only way to play and constantly bleat when a lesser team has the temerity to be tactically better and take points off them.
    4. Both have players turning out week in week out that are not fit for purpose yet the manager seems unable to see it.
    5. Both run by yanks whose only interest is rinsing the club of money.
    6. Both, theoretically sitting on massive stockpiles of cash but where has it all gone (see 5 above)?
    7. Both only have the ambition to compete for the ultimate prize of 4th.
    8. Both nowhere near competing with Europe's elite for major trophies.

I highly doubt it. Would really like Arsenal to pull a defender out of the hat, and maybe a DM, but with only hours left, that isn't likely. Then again, I hadn't counted on an Özil contract extension, either.

He should be busting a gut to get Luiz and Evans in.
If Girou has to go,then a swap deal with Chelski for Luiz would be good business.

And Evans is still a safe cheap option.

    It's all about time now.

The whole team is so bloody unbalanced.

I cant argue with that,Wiz,8 very valid points, unfortunately.
