If it’s a comfort, Dortmund was more than lucky too yesterday.

They were. There were several chances both ways if I remember correctly (had an eye on the Arsenal match as well - which I should have dropped watching), but this fixture could have ended with Atalanta making the next round.

I like it as a fan of Italian football. If Atalanta from the small town of Bergamo can come this close to eliminate Dortmund, you cannot say Seria A is all rubbish!

Of course it’s not rubbish. Why would anyone say that? Juve was in two of the last three CL finals, the Roman teams are doing fine and Napoli have been becoming better and better over the years. It just happens to be a dreadful period for the Milan teams though.

1-2 against some Swedish herring picklers dear oh dear. In Arsene We Trust, 2 more glorious years.

I know..not a lot I can say really ,apart from they should refund the frickin' fans.

If they play like that on Sunday,it will be a cricket score !!

A lot of people do say it's rubbish... It's mainly Premier League fanboys though, who want to feel better about their favored teams by talking down all other leagues...

It's indeed the case. Listened to a podcast only yesterday where they discussed the somewhat unfair reputation Italian football has - most of all regarding theatrical behaviour on the pitch.

That's understandable! Wouldn't stand among the other fans with the possibility of a result like that.

Going to have my remote within arms length on Sunday, that's for sure!

Well Spurs, the club struggling to hang onto a place in the top 4 inbthe premier league, did a job on Juve at home and should've beaten them really despite them not having conceded a goal in Serie A for about 500 games.
    Just saying.

Doesn't hold Wenger back. You should go into cricket coaching; if Kronke and Chips are in charge you'll get a decade of pottering along without anyone caring about the results before they even think about sacking you. And even then they'll give you a 2 year extension while they think it over some more.

This is no doubt the current situation… One can blame Wenger for results, but of course he's going to hang on to the job as long as possible - as most of us would! Kroenke and Chips will of course do as little as possible.

True but the PL teams have underperformed for years before Man U snatched the EL last year and I’ve never considered a “rubbish league”.

I wouldn’t use one poor Juve performance as a reference. You don’t play two CL finals in three years, eliminating Real and Barca on their way, if you’re rubbish.

It has been a disappointing season for Milan. They splashed a lot of cash in the summer thanks to their Chinese owners, but qualifying for European competitions still seems unlikely at this point. Their performances have improved massively however since the appointment of new coach and former club legend, Gennaro Gattuso. So their form is on the rise.

As always it all depends on which Arsenal team will turn up on the day. Arsenal will likely have to be close to their best to beat Milan. If they manage that however, I'd put them as small favorites.

Correct analysis. Milan have had a terrible start but they are getting better. I think There is a 50-50 chance of progressing.

Over the moon with another late goal especially away at Wolves last night. Farke has got our team fighting to full time again!! Well done lads! OTBC!!!!

Without Tettey on the pitch?! :-O

He may well play tomorrow as Timm Klose has a slight hamstring strain? So he could well be filling in for him tomorrow against Bolton.

For us it's a soap opera more than a sitcom - or maybe something in between!

One really don't know which Arsenal turns up from game to game, which is so damn frustrating!

50-50 isn't enough to see this Arsenal team through, looking at last night's performance. Last night should have been a 99-1 chance, but Östersund made things more interesting than it should have been.

Can't see Wenger fielding anything but his best possible starting eleven for these two fixtures. He should!

Really bizarre. Would have expected for Guardiola to receive some sort of disciplinary action after the antics in the FA cup match against Wigan, but this…

The FA need to replace most of their staff because the people currently working at the FA are a bunch of clowns.

Great win by Liverpool again with a 4-1 Demolition of West Ham.

Man of the match - Mohamed Salah, Again.
    mohamed-salah-liverpool-stats_4239892.jpg?20180224173135

Salah's strike was his 25th goal in his last 25 appearances and set a new Premier League record of 20 left-footed goals in a Premier League season - surpassing Robbie Fowler's longstanding achievement.

And now once again back by Popular demand: :)

    Opta stats

Liverpool have scored 4+ goals in three consecutive Premier League games versus a single opponent for the first time since doing so against Norwich between 2012-2013.

David Moyes has never won against Liverpool at Anfield in all competitions as a manager (D7 L8), failing to win with Everton, Man Utd, Sunderland and now West Ham.

Salah has been directly involved in 31 Premier League goals this season (23 goals, 8 assists), more than any other player.

Evra made his Premier League debut for West Ham, the Frenchman is the fifth oldest outfield player to make an appearance this season (36y 284d).
