Talk about having the cigars out. City players in grave danger of having lung cancer by the end.

I can join them in a heart attack....................or not....pure apathy now and for a while tbh...those poor fans who paid for that shit.

Alright, I'm thinking rum or whisky - or both. Maybe adding something colourful from the cabinet which has possibly gone out of date some years ago - just like this Arsenal team.

    What to go for?

I only realised Ozil was on the pitch at the end when they showed one of the City players shaking his hand.

I was at OT today. We were shite in the first half. Better in the second. Definitely the better side overall. Chelsea dangerously close to becoming an Arsenal. Big win.

Obviously Utd winning any game is a bad thing but it has created a nice 4 point buffer between us and 5th so not too devastated.

Yeah, I think it was best for both of us. You’ll probably do us next month, so it was a big one today.

It's a shame about City as if we took them out of the equation it would be a belting league.

I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re right. Remove them and it would probably be the best PL run in we’ve ever seen.

It's really quite annoying as nobody really likes them. Everyone was quite happy with things before they muscled into the top 4 started winning things.

    Noisy neighbours indeed.

Actually I was musing earlier today on what Utd fan's attitude to them is?

To be you are our hated rivals and Everton I couldn't really give a toss about. Now the fact they're shit maybe a factor but even if they started winning things I still think I'd hate you more.

What is the general feeling amongst Utd fans? It seems to me that you'd probably all rather City won the title than us?

I can see why it was given as at first glance he looks marginally off but then if you look the defender is stretching his leg back and playing him on. Harsh on Morata as he tucked it away nicely.

What were we saying a few weeks back about Utd always being lucky?

That's a tough one for the linesman to call though,he cant be blamed for that.

Usually don't read Mirror, but here's a piece about who the writers want to see replace Wenger. I don't follow Italian, Spanish or French football to closely, so could those who follows those leagues give some insight to the names (outside English football) mentioned here?

Chelsea should have buried Utd in the first half when they weren’t in it.

I've seen quite a few people saying 'Be careful what you wish for' in terms of sacking Wenger but can another guy do any worse? Whilst he was finishing top 4 every season and wining the odd cup this argument held some water but finishing 6th or 7th and winning nothing? There's no one in world football who couldn't emulate that? Really?

Simeone, Allegri and Ancelotti are just the big names (although why either of them would take the job a different debate) but are people saying the likes of Marco Silva, Tomas Tuchel or even Brendan Rogers would really deliver less?

How long does back to back FA cups provide invincibility when set against 10 years of steady decline?

If you think people are unsackable take a look at Forest and where they've been for the past 25 years. Everyone has a sell by date and even they had to sack Cloughie but sentimentality made them wait until it was too late. And that's Brian Clough FFS; if normal rules apply to one of the all time greats then they certainly apply to Wenger.

Except in Kronke & Chips world of course.

With Kroenke & Chips and the helm, you could just as well see them extending the current contract for Wenger. They make tons of money no matter what. I'm saying that because nothing surprises me about the club anymore!

Looking at the recent matches (Östersund at home most of all), even a Thierry Henry without PL coaching experience could do better. Heard on a podcast that Kroenke jr. is a fan of the Frenchman - and Henry has expressed interest in taking charge of the team. Why wouldn't he?

Most of all, this team screams for someone to shake things up. That's why I asked about the managers mentioned in that article. Jardim, Simeone and Allegri have been mentioned a lot this past year.

Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri wouldn’t be a bad choice, he manages to go toe-to-toe with Juve with fairly limited possibilities compared to Juve’s. Tactically very strong.

Given Kronke & Chips have no interest in actually competing as long as the money rolls in perhaps they might be better going for someone like Adam Crozier?

I'd imagine at this juncture you'd settle for Brendan O'Carroll or Arthur Lowe.

If you're going to get Arthur Lowe, then he'd have to have John Le Mesurier as his assistant.

With Joachim Löw you will at least get someone who can make the most out of Mustafi and Özil. They are both much better players when representing their national side - and I'm well aware the qualities in the rest of the team as well. Just think they as individuals perform better with Löw managing.

Oh my! Just now realized that Löw has been involved in a coaching/managing capacity with the Germany national team since 2004. That's 14 years!

Definitely, but personally I hope the new manager dumps nearly the whole team and re-builds.
