And on that point, just a couple of weeks ago Arsenal were top of the league. Now their fourth and Wenger is now talking of competing for 4th place with Everton. Oh dear, oh dear. I don't know how their fans cope with it all. They pay highest season tickets in Europe and all for 4th place.

There is a very real danger Arsenal will miss out on 4th. They still have to play City and I'm sure they've still got the Toffees. Everton also have a game in hand. My team are beyond abysmal this season, but I can't complain, we've won titles recently. It must be utterly soul-destroying to be told, every season, that you're in the race, but never ever seeing it through to the end. Plus I've got a terrible feeling they'll miss out on the FA Cup.

Yes Arsenal go to Goodison next month. The Toffees are looking very strong at the moment.

    Who is your team?

United. The ones who are like Villa, but in red and white.

You do realise they were knocked out by Swansea in the FA Cup? ;-)

Ah I see. Be funny as hell if they lost to Wigan. I think a lot of their fans are getting a bit carried away considering who's left in the competition. To be honest, if they don't win the cup from this position, it really will be a shocker for them. Hull for the cup I say! :-)

It wouldnt surprise me if we lost to Wigan, the way they are playing at the moment.

Its the annual season implosion again.

In a strange way, I feel like it makes it more difficult for them. They are outright favourites. Pile on their potentially worsening league woes and you've got a recipe for another trophy-less season.

As a Gooner, should Wenger stay or go at the end of the season?

    Personally i would say 'go'.

Give him a place on the board and bring in someone fresh, its all looking a bit stale at the Emirates, stale and predictable.

Tonight is Ajax Amsterdam - AZ Alkmaar playing the semi-finals for the KNVB Cup, I watched the other semi-finale last night and it was kind of boring even if it was entertaining.

Having got a months worth of free watching Sport1 I got to watch the Barcelona winning and another match Real Madrid losing of Seville. While I enjoy this month I would not want to have this all the time.

I don't think Norwich will go down. Too many poor teams below them. You'll soon be able to breathe a sigh of relief :-)

On another note, Real lost again last night. Their title aspirations are in danger of going the way of Arsenal.

Wishing I had your faith WillyGalore, but I always air on the side of caution! :)) Sometimes unexpected results happen which you can never see coming. I bet their will be a few more maybe before the end of the season? Norwich through and through!! On the Arsenal front I am truly baffled? Got a few workmates that are Gunner's fans and they are really fed up to put it politely.

What really annoys me were the West Ham fans last night who booed their winning team off the pitch! Why? It's a relegation dogfight all the way up to 10th in the premier league. I know it is expensive to go to the games but come on? Who is going to want to go to that club if they are going ta act like that? Madness!

The West Ham fans are impossible to please at the moment and any chance they can get to abuse Nolan and Alladyce they will do it,regardless of the score...not good.

As for Arsenal ? i am fed up to the back teeth of the posing poofters tbh.
It happens every year right on schedule, they always bottle it.

We need a new manager and a revamped team.

We were poor yesterday but we got three points. Points are what matters for us at the moment.

Fans were booing because it's boring and frustrating to watch us play at the moment. I don't think Allardyce deserves as much abuse as he gets though. Right now I think avoiding a relegation battle is the most important thing and Big Sam seems to understand that.

I emphasize with West Ham fans. They're never going to be a top 6 team. They may occasionally have a decent cup run so I think at the very least, their demand for good football and value for their season ticket prices isn't too much to ask? A very poor performance last night against ten man Hull and they won thanks to a wrongly given penalty and a hilarious own goal.
  • spurs and west hams always get what they deserve.

what did harry do wrong for your clubs and why not stick with him, through thick and thin?

spurs haven't the bottle in the boardroom to do anything else apart from milk their fans of money and make a profit out of selling players they develop.

west ham are just porn kings' play things - i haven't got time for owners who degrade women and men into masterbation objects to line their own pockets. the dwarf king, Sullivan, is a repulsive individual who needs to be put away. Of course these are my opinions and not the ones of the mi6community.

So? A 3rd international tournament hey UEFA? I am sure all the top club sides around Europe are gonna thank you for that! NOT!!!! Players careers are going to get shorter for sure!

Seriously a bad idea in my opinion! :-q

Not averse to a European International league. Friendlies are utter shite.

No doubt another Platini/Blatter idea! Absolute idiots the pair of them! They now are making Countries teams into businesses. No doubt the 4th remaining year in the 4 year cycle will sooner or later be swallowed up by FIFA introducing an Intercontinental League competition.

Tonights semi-finale between Ajax - AZ turned into a win for Ajax and not because they were better but the Ajax goalie was easily the best player on the field and one brilliant freekick was enough to win.

A somewhat annoy game to see when your team does win but does not deserve it based upon their performance. Lucky Ajax.

As for the European international league it is another platform for great players that already have way too much games to play. Does the EUFA really want to rob all compititions of the exceptional players by over-extending their seasons?

Blatter & Platini are both robberbarons and have done nothing to improve the game only milk it for all that its worth.

What's Your opinion on De Boer, @SaintMark? Is he doing a good job, and will he maybe be a contender for (with all respect) even greater responsibilities in the future?

From what I have seen of Ajax this year, they have looked pretty good. But I don't watch them regularly.

Ajax this year is perhaps the weakest version in 4 years and it seems they still will become champion for the 4th time in a row.

De Boer is a great coach and I would be unhappy to see him go, but his wife and kids are happy in Amsterdam and want to stay, so I can only be happy with that.
As for Barcelona they'd better find another I hope and not de Boer.

We are lucky not to be getting any injuries at the moment like the purse for manu and silva for man city.

If the SAS get injured it would be awful.

Come Arsenal show SOMETHING and beat man c. Arsenal have had some injuries which has set them back too.
  • yes lucky so far but Stevie's yellow card is the worry. one more bad tackle and he's out for three games.
