Indeed, and with footballers they're in a position where it takes so little effort to do something that means a lot – especially to kids.

My money would have been on Liverpool to win it if they started afresh, but the gap down to City (which I would place second), would have been much closer I imagine.
Chelsea and either of United or Wolves to make the top four.
It will be interesting to see what news come out from these talks.

@Torgeirtrap no real surprises
@Fire_and_Ice_Returns No, not really. There's really nothing else they can do given the uncertainty on how things will develop. Hopefully we'll see football again sometime soon!
When we get to May I think decisions with the league will be made as time will be running out with regards to following season (assuming that will start on time)
Yes, at some point they will have to make a decision on the progress of the season. I seem to remember a deadline mentioned in a tweet at some point, but I can't find it now. It was likely just guesswork or a rumour though.
It will be very interesting to see how this will be solved!
I see the Belgian league have said their season is over and the table as it stands is the final outcome for this season!
That's very decisive move, but one we might see other leagues make as well. The league statement is worth a read:
Despite the circumstances, congratulations to the Club Brugge fans!
Void them with the current rankings and no relegation and the one on top for places in the European competitions.
I heard the UEFA has severly warned the Belgian Football association about their stopping the competition and fines might be involved. Now is the time for the EU to step in and warn the UEFA that human lives are more inportant and fine them for the match Valaencia - Atalante which they allowed to go ahead and now is a confirmed source of infection for the Corona virus.
Basically the UEFA should shut the f&&k up and listen to the EU.
This still sounds very optimistic. Wimbledon has already been cancelled (was due to happen in the first 2 weeks of July), and the Formula 1 race at Silverstone on July 19th is set to be cancelled as well.
Thoughts with Pep and his family

Wonder if the PL will do the same.
_________
Regarding the German League starting having great testing resources is vital, the risk is it will only take one case of a player testing positive for the virus to bring it all crashing down, ultimately maybe May June or July would make little difference as a restart date, though May seems to early to me with the virus still around it's peak.
It definitely seems very early to start playing games again. I also wonder how it's possible, with all the people that are required to be present at each game – players, coaching staff, medical staff, match officials etc.
Exactly would there be testing of everyone involved for every single game. That seems excessive and a waste of testing kits
It does seem like a waste. But I can't imagine they will resume the season unless it's safe to do so, so we might see that plan changed.
Very interesting indeed?!!!
