Titanic opened aganist TND and Bond did fine.

Every Twilight has easily beaten the highest grossing Bond film domestically (QOS), so I don't think this occasion will be any different. As far as total (domestic and international) grosses go, the competition will be a little closer...but ultimately (and unfortunately) I think Twilight will edge Skyfall out. Breaking Dawn Part 1 was able to rake up $700 million dollars total...the closest any James Bond film has ever come to that is CR's $594 million. The want for Part 2 will be pretty immense, and I wouldn't be surprised if Part 2 broke the $800 million mark. As history would put it, Twilight will win.
-HOWEVER-
Skyfall will do just fine overall. I think it'll scoop roughly $180 million to $190 million domestically and around $650-675 million worldwide. I think it will be a very profitable film, and the most successful Bond film to date (monetarily). Funnily enough, the more recent Bond films (DAD, CR, QOS) have not done SPECTACULARLY domestically. Quantum of Solace didn't even make it's mammoth $200 million dollar budget back in the States. And CR and DAD made just $20 million over their respected budgets (give or take). It is the international audience that has kept Bond going, no doubt.
1. The long gap. People will be pleased to welcome Bond back after the 4 year wait.
2. Most of the public like Daniel Craig.
Even QoS, which got very mixed reviews overall did extremely well.
It annoys you?? If anything it encouraged me to get in shape and get cut rather quickly and now I'm all the better for it. Besides, Craig's not topless for long. Connery went topless in every Bond film apart from GF I think and he was topless a lot longer than Craig has been.
Indeed and Titanic did well..... Titanic in the BO.
If Bond23 offers quality the customers will come no matter of the competition.
Connery was topless a couple of times in Miami in GF too.
SF is gonna be amazing and will destroy CR and QOS. It will surely earn 600 million atleast.

What wil help the boxoffice is Ralph Fienes name and Imax (not by my liking). LOTR 4 aka The Hobbit wil win the Boxoffice of 2012 movies. Ice Age 4 wil possible next, the Ice Age 3 deliever 14 million at The Dutch Boxoffice in 2009 with 3 million under Harry Potter. Skyfall wil be in the 12 million region, but i think it wil end on 4th place. TDK wil follow or mabey the number 3, another one is Madagascar 3. Twilight 5 wil be in the 6 million region.

Pretty much spot on!
Maybe one or two subtle ones but not an entire movie of them.. Please!!
Besides QoS already did that with references to GF amd TSWLM.
Daniel Craig and JW Pepper, could be one of the most bizarre pairings in cinema history!
Bond should steal a boat, the way he did in QOS, to follow someone. In that same boat is JW Pepper sitting, and he screams to the other boats in the same manner as in TMWTGG (things like "Move it, get that piece of jug out of the way " and "let´s go get them, boy"). That would be a great reference and every single Bond fan would love it!
And then Bond should make the spiral jump, but with the boat. Pepper screams and says "I have done that before". Bond answers "So have I, actually". That stunt would have been done for real and the loop sound would return also.
And Javier Bardem should threaten the world with a massive satellite laser!
But I do include myself in the one's who would love to see it!
That´s the spirit. You seem to be a good man!
