I got the impression, Quantum were disbanded after their failings in the events of CR and QOS, Oberhauser a key Quantum member took over all power creating SPECTRE from it's ashes, however his ideology were too extreme for some, including White who tried to leave, likely disheartened that the organisation was no longer about making everyone wealthy but with Oberhauser constant obsession with hurting Bond.

DVD runs at 30 frames per second.
Blu-ray is 24 frames per second.

More frames per second = shorter movie.

I think. There's no edit differences.

Can anyone with a good memory point out which pictures were used of the actors from the previous films in the scene where Bond walks through the old MI6 building. I seem to recall that this screenshot of Vesper was used:

    casino-royale-movie-screencaps.com-11080.jpg
Can anyone remember the ones used for Le Chiffre, Silva and M?

where's roger's boob zoom when you need it?

When does James Bond rights enter the public domain (and will they ever enter the public domain?)

Fleming's books have already entered the public domain in Canada and in Japan (I think). They'll enter pd in 2035 (70 years after Fleming's death) in Europe and 95 years after their publications date in the USA.
Unless, of course, the law will have been changed by then.

    I have another stupid question

Did Sciarra and Bond had sex in SPECTRE ? Like..one moment they're kissing, next minute she's sitting all dressed..like..who dresses in lingerie after sex ?

I think Broccoli (or whoever is in charge of this) asked Canada to ban any unofficial 007 works. This is the first time I hear about Japan. How do the public domain laws work ? Why are their different for all countries ? Shouldn't be one official worlwide law for things like this ?

    @dragonsky:
It's implied that they had sex, much like how men and women conveniently hide and make an effort to cover their privates in sex scenes, when in reality, there's no basis behind it when you just got done romping in the nude.

It's Waltz "Why so serious" catchphrase after all they have more than borrowed from TDK trilogy I am sure it's something from their childhood possibly a game like hide and seek

Another stupid question from me....whose eyes were those in the skull during the title sequence ? Waltz's? Or someone random?

    What was

It's cause Bond is a cuckoo bird to him. A cuckoo bird is a bird that nests its eggs in other birds "homes". Basically Bond is a cuckoo to Oberhauser as he is not from the Oberhauser family and yet he lived with them, and he was even liked more than the actual Oberhauser son. Which is why Oberhauser hates Bond......and why that Blofeld twist was stupid but that's another thingy :D

A significant long passionate scene was cut involving Bond and Sciarra from the final edit. This was due to the sensors issues with the drill scene and Studio pushing for a 12A certificate. A deal was done to drop the scene, and also the one with Bond and madeleine on the train, and a longer fight between Bond and Hinx on the train in order to reduce the content which sensors must consider for certification purposes. The film pre edit was 2Hrs:42mins so we don't get to see around 22 mins lobbed off the film.

Well, no other reasons are stated either.
SPECTRE's main plan in SPECTRE (the setting up of the 9 eyes system, which ludicrously has China and Japan in an intelligence alliance, and South Africa having a veto vote) has little to do with revenge against Bond. The fact that Bond is incidental to their main plot is ipso facto proof that Bond is not Spectre's raison d'être,

OHMSS plot hole: Why didn't Bond go back and check Blofeld was dead?

The rescue dog was a member of Spectre. Distracted Bond with brandy so Blofeld could escape...

    My thoughts exactly. Brilliant.

What the heck ever happened to the Guy Haines character from QOS? Wasn't he supposed to be a traitor of some sort?
