Mr @talos7 age is one of the reasons we should NOT be talking a new James Bond (Idris Elba or whatever), as Daniel Craig also looks as hot and fit at a similar age :-P. Let Craig do two more after "SPECTRE"! Period! ;)
One of the things tht always bothered me about Diamonds are Forever was Sean's lack of pride and lack of respect for the series and fans. He was only in his early 40's and with a bit of effort could have looked basically the same as he did in Thunderball. Look at him in The Great Train Robbery which is 9 years later; he looks great. Instead, he shows up out of shape, does not allow them to tame his brows and wears a questionable hairpiece. I don't Craig ever doing that.
I agree completely with your comments here. I feel the same way exactly.
I don't think Connery gave a damn at that point. He got a massive salary but gave it all to his Scottish charity or something along those lines. Just phoned it in and somewhat disrespected the role IMO.
Craig went out of his way to prep for CR, and turned all the critics around with the famous beach shot. I respect him as an actor, and for the effort he has put in to owning this role. It was not easy to get in shape like that no doubt, but his efforts have paid off. In fact, seeing how he turned his physique around for CR actually motivated me around that time to get in better shape - something I do to this day. So I owe him a great debt.
The funny thing is, I found Sean looking way better in NSNA than in DAF :O. He looked smarter, fitter, and during the tango scene in NSNA, in his dinner jacket, he looked stunning. Hell, he even looked better than Roger Moore in OP. I really thought that Sean should have been left alone after YOLT....and then he could perhaps have returned for one more film in an official EON-film, around 1983.
yes... i think once Sean started getting on, he started to take a little better care of himself than he did when he was in his early 40s.. he looks much better in NSNA than he did in DAF, and he was a full 10 years older.... i always thought that hairpiece in DAF made him look a bit like Nixon lol..
but, keep one's self in shape can add years - look at how old Harrison Ford is, but at his age he still looks good - and i dont care what anyone says, in the last Indy film he looked spectacular for his age... the same could be said for Clint Eastwood as well..
not that i would know anything about nutrition and staying in shape... i'm about 400 lbs :(
It's never too late to start! This guy: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=160565211&p=1215503511#post1215503511
started at 600 lbs and has made terrific progress.

(Cheater) Halloween pic! lol, but I am very proud of the costume!
Well, I don't really know how to react to this. I'm mixed between two feelings. First, I thank you for the compliment (if it looks better, I'm quite pleased. That's, I guess, everyone's goal to improve when you try things like this). Secondly, I know how much you hate Brosnan so I guess any guy could do better in your eyes... In conclusion, that's an "ok gunbarrel". Did I understood it right ?
How do we know it really is you? ;)
^:)^ I doth my cap to you! :D
Are you eating your phone? Jaws style! ;)
How spooky!!! :-bd
