Sherlock Holmes
Casino Royale
OHMSS
The Dark Knight
(I love Hans Zimmer)
1 - no Bond films
2 - no official scores
Grease
Saturday night fever
Xanadu (with the brilliant ELO)
Jeff Wayne's "War of the worlds"
Legend by Clannad
All right, take Casino Royale and OHMSS out and put Out of Africa and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
I like all the sountrack in the movies, out of them they loose some of their spirit, so I'm not talking about official scores, but the way they fit the film
scores usually say right on the cover "official score" whereas soundtracks say "official soundtrack" or "music from" or "music inspired by"..... and when i say soundtrack, i mean the "music from" or "music inspired by" variety..
maybe i didn't make it clear enough? apologies - but there IS a difference between soundtrack and score...
The Lion in Winter
The Empire Strikes Back
Brokeback Mountain
Last of the Mohicans
You are right my bad, I have only very few of such soundtracks since they rarely please me.
Let me add:
Grease
Saturday night fever
Xanadu (with the brilliant ELO)
Jeff Wayne's "War of the worlds"
Legend by Clannad
Anyway, my top five are
Requiem for a Dream
Sherlock Holmes
The Dark Knight
Out of Africa
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Where Eagles Dare - Ron Goodwin
The Eiger Sanction - John Williams
King Kong - John Barry
Experiment In Terror - Henry Mancini
